Jay-Z brought out Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Too Short Saturday at the rapper’s second concert at Los Angeles’ So-Fi Stadium, the final gig of the Jay-Z 30 Tour.

Too Short was the first guest to take the stage, performing his 2006 hit “Blow the Whistle,” with Jay-Z tacking on his “Playoff” freestyle of the track:

Later in the show, Jay-Z rapped his own “D’Evils” over the beat of Snoop Dogg’s “Murder Was the Case,” at which point that rapper came out onstage. Dr. Dre was next out, with Jay-Z bestowed the stage to the G-funk duo, who performed a medley of “The Next Episode,” “California Love,” “Nothin’ But a ‘G’ Thang,” and “Still D.R.E.”:

Prior to the gig, there were unconfirmed reports on social media that ticket prices for Saturday’s show had plummeted, with tickets even being given away for free. During “Encore,” Jay-Z addressed the rumors, and AI in general. “You gotta be really real with what’s going on in the world,” Jay-Z said (via Variety).

“People will tell you that nobody was in here tonight, but you got eyes. You can see. People will tell you that the music wasn’t great, but you got ears. You gotta understand, you gotta question everything. This world with AI and everything, it’s been going on forever. They called it propaganda before. But now, the technology has caught up and people are tricked. A lot of tricknology for us… Make sure you question everything you feel.”

The previous night at So-Fi, Jay-Z brought out his own daughter Blue Ivy for “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents,” Geto Boys’ Scarface for “This Can’t Be Life” and “Mind Playing Tricks,” and DJ Khaled and John Legend for a show-ending “God Did.”

The retrospective Jay-Z 30 Tour opened in July with three star-studded nights at New York’s Yankee Stadium, followed by gigs in London and Paris.

John Mayer Recruits Dream Team of Musicians for New Song ‘Tom and Jerry’

John Mayer‘s new single “Tom and Jerry” began with a voice note and an urge to follow a new idea to the end of the road. Along the way, the singer-songwriter recruited a dream team of musicians to help hone in on the heart of the song, the lyric, “And if you ever come through, which I doubt you’ll do, I’ll run away with you.”

“From that moment on, the adventure began in bringing that feeling to life,” Mayer shared on Instagram about the origin of the record, which marks his first single as a lead artist in five years. “I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating every time – I get to work with a group of incredibly talented and deeply dedicated artists who will stop at nothing until the sound comes into focus and becomes a picture.”

Aerosmith After the Farewell: 10 Key Moments Leading to Their Big Reunion Concert

In a little under a week, Aerosmith will awake from a three-year hibernation to play the first of two “Aerosmith & Friends” shows at the Hollywood Bowl with a pretty stunning lineup of guests, including Guns N’ Roses, Run-DMC, the Black Crowes, Billy Idol, Heart, Sammy Hagar, and Tom Morello. “We have the songs that we’re going to do and all that, but I don’t know what the rest of the whole production is really all about at this point,” Slash recently told Eddie Trunk. “It’s been very sort of last-minute throw and go.”

The highlight of the event will be the first Aerosmith performance since their farewell tour was prematurely called off in 2023. In rehearsal photos they posted to Instagram, the band is playing with original drummer Joey Kramer, who last played with the band during a Las Vegas show in February 2020.

Daft Punk Announce Lego Collaboration

LEGO and Daft Punk have announced a new collaboration that will bring the French electronic duo’s iconic visual world into the brick-building universe, beginning with a fan-designed set inspired by their landmark 2007 Alive tour.

The project recreates the pyramid-shaped stage that became synonymous with the duo’s live performances. Designed by a father-and-son team from Belgium, the concept was originally submitted to LEGO Ideas, the company’s platform for fan-created designs. It won a music-themed competition in 2020 before attracting 10,000 supporters.

15 Music Festivals Around the World to Watch Before 2026 Ends

The festival calendar isn't winding down just yet. With the final months of 2026 bringing everything from Halloween raves in Canada and artist-led carnivals in Los Angeles to electronic music gatherings in the Egyptian desert, there's plenty happening beyond the usual summer circuit.

And while major headliners remain a draw, some of the most interesting festivals are offering something more, whether that's a distinctive setting, a platform for emerging artists or an experience shaped as much by local culture as the music itself.
