LEGO and Daft Punk have announced a new collaboration that will bring the French electronic duo’s iconic visual world into the brick-building universe, beginning with a fan-designed set inspired by their landmark 2007 Alive tour.
The project recreates the pyramid-shaped stage that became synonymous with the duo’s live performances. Designed by a father-and-son team from Belgium, the concept was originally submitted to LEGO Ideas, the company’s platform for fan-created designs. It won a music-themed competition in 2020 before attracting 10,000 supporters.
The model will now advance to the next stage of LEGO’s development process. The announcement does not confirm a retail release date, price or final product specifications.
Daft Punk creative director Cédric Hervet said the stage design was a natural fit for the partnership, noting its importance to the group’s visual identity and the role fans have played in its history.
The collaboration also includes a 48-second animated film featuring LEGO Minifigure versions of Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, complete with their signature helmets. In the short, the duo follow a glowing red brick through a mysterious desert landscape before making their way to the stage, with typical Daft Punk basslines and synths featured throughout.
LEGO says the partnership will extend beyond the initial project, with additional events and content planned across music, culture and creative spaces. The duo previously appeared as LEGO characters in Piece by Piece, Pharrell Williams’ 2024 animated documentary, which featured artists and collaborators reimagined in brick-built form.
