Canadian hockey romance Heated Rivalry is heading to the big screen, with Cineplex set to screen the hit series across select theatres in November.

The theatrical event begins November 6, giving audiences the chance to revisit all six episodes of the Crave Original series ahead of its second season, expected in spring 2027. The screenings are part of an international rollout organized by Sphere Abacus, a Bell Media company, with theatrical engagements also planned in the United States and United Kingdom. Australia and New Zealand will follow in December.

On November 6, 10 and 11, Cineplex will screen the season in three two-episode blocks, allowing viewers to choose between the opening episodes, the middle of the season or its final two instalments. A full-season marathon, complete with intermissions, is scheduled for November 8.

Tickets for the two-episode screenings are priced at $9.99 plus tax, while the marathon costs $24.99 plus tax, according to Cineplex's announcement. Advance tickets are available through their website.

Created by Montréal filmmaker Jacob Tierney and based on Rachel Reid's Game Changers novels, Heated Rivalry follows Shane Hollander, played by Hudson Williams, and Ilya Rozanov, played by Connor Storrie, two rival professional hockey players whose relationship develops away from the rink.

The series has become an international hit since its debut, earning major recognition at the Canadian Screen Awards, including awards for Best Drama Series and Williams's performance. Its theatrical run offers fans a chance to experience the first season collectively before the story continues.

Season 2 is expected to premiere on Crave in spring 2027, although an exact release date has not been announced.

Julia Stiles Honors Heath Ledger With ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Performance

The cast of 10 Things I Hate About You paid tribute to their late co-star Heath Ledger during Dedication Week on Dancing With the Stars. Julia Stiles, who is competing on the series this season, performed Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You” with her professional partner, Ezra Sosa, in a nod to the 1999 film.

At the conclusion of the performance, Stiles was joined by Andrew Keegan, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Larisa Oleynik, Gabrielle Union, and Susan May Pratt. The cast stood alongside Stiles after she laid a flower for Ledger, who died in 2008 at the age of 28, on the steps of the stage. They linked their arms in front of an image of Stiles and Ledger as Kat and Patrick.

Christina Applegate Says She Was Misdiagnosed With Multiple Sclerosis: ‘It’s Very Confusing’

Five years after Christina Applegate‘s doctors told her that she had multiple sclerosis, they’re now telling her she never had the autoimmune disorder. The actress revealed the news on MeSsy, her MS-themed podcast she hosts with Jamie Lynn Sigler, who has MS, since March 2024. She said she’s in a “state of shock” over the news, which she calls a “mindfuck.” What’s most frustrating for Applegate, though, is that she still has symptoms that no longer have an explanation and that she feels she accidentally misrepresented herself to those with the disorder, according to People.

On back-to-back episodes of the podcast, Applegate explained that she took a leave of absence from the podcast in March while she processed her doctor’s news. “She came into my room and said, ‘Congratulations, you don’t have MS,’” Applegate said. “I was, like, not happy at all. Everybody else was so happy.”

Maren Morris Hits Back at Shane Gillis’ ‘SNL’ Joke About Women Being ‘Whores’ at the Gym

Maren Morris responded to Shane Gillis‘ controversial Saturday Night Live monologue by giving the comedian the middle finger.

Gillis hosted the late-night sketch show on Saturday night and spent his monologue commenting on how women dress at the gym. “I haven’t been to the gym in so long I didn’t know women just dress like whores now?” Gillis said. “Look, I’m sorry, there’s no other way to describe it. Have you seen it? I’ve seen it. You’ve seen the shorts? They’re those neon, like, artificial bait-colored. And the wrinkles go around the cheeks and all combine at the butthole. And don’t look! You’re not allowed to look. For real, don’t look, because they are filming.”
