Chappell Roan‘s Super Graphic Spectacular, a benefit concert raising money for LGBTQ+ youth, concluded its two-night run on Thursday, Oct. 22, with special guest appearances from PinkPantheress and Lola Young.

During her headlining set, Roan welcomed PinkPantheress to perform “Tonight” from the British artist’s latest project Fancy That (and its remix component, Fancy Some More?). She also opened the stage to Lola Young, who helped flip “Picture You” from The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess into a duet.

Roan has been on a collaborative hot streak as of late. Earlier this month, she appeared on the official remix of Olivia Rodrigo’s latest single “Expectations,” which Roan performed live during the opening night of the Super Graphic Spectacular. The same night of that performance, the singer revamped the Midwest Princess deep cut “Coffee” with some help from special guest Christina Aguilera.

Super Graphic Spectacular featured performances from Young, Tinashe, Amanda Lepore, Blaine Petrovia, and Kyra Jeté on Oct. 21 and Caroline Polachek, MUNA, Alisa Mae, Fantasia Royale Gaga, and Sweady Eddie on Oct. 21. Roan made a special appearance during Polachek’s set to perform “Look at Me Now” from Pang.

The music event was hosted in celebration of the one year anniversary of Roan’s Midwest Princess Project, with all net proceeds set to be donated to their continued efforts to support trans youth and LGBTQ+ communities.

“Thanks to incredible community support, The Midwest Princess Project has raised over $800,000, and has uplifted over 60 organizations working to make the world healthier, happier, and safer for LGBTQ+ people everywhere,” a statement from Roan’s official website reads.

“Thank u to all of our acts, special guests and everyone who came out to support the show and block party,” Roan said on Instagram. “What an incredible night I’m smiling ear to ear.”

Talking Heads Reunite for Coffee-Table Book

You may find yourself sitting in a large video studio. And you may find yourself sitting next to people you haven’t made music with in more than 40 years. And you may ask yourself, “How did I get here?” And you may find yourself announcing a book you created with the three other musicians you hadn’t worked with in more than 40 years. Here comes the twist(er): The four members of Talking Heads announced on Wednesday that they’ve collaborated on an upcoming book, Talking Heads: New Feeling, out May 18.

All four members of the quartet sat in the round to explain what New Feeling was about in a reel for publisher Abrams Books’ Instagram. Bassist Tina Weymouth acknowledged the uniqueness of the four musicians coming together “to write and curate the comprehensive coffee-table book” about the band. Singer-guitarist David Byrne noted that the release date coincides with the 50th anniversary of their debut LP, Talking Heads: 77.
