If it seemed like everyone Taylor Swift has ever met attended her wedding to Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden that’s because the singer always planned a huge guest list. The couple welcomed hundreds of people to the New York City venue on July 3, including A-listers from the music industry, sports world, and Hollywood.

But, according to an interview with Swift last year, this was the plan all along. The singer appeared on The Graham Norton Show to promote The Life of a Showgirl in October, appearing on the talk show alongside Cillian Murphy, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, and Lewis Capaldi. During the interview, host Graham Norton asked if the wedding would take place in 2026.

“Oh, you’ll know,” she said of the event. “So you’re going big,” Norton responded. “I just mean that I was going to invite you it,” she confirmed.

“If you’re inviting me, it’s very big,” Norton said.

Swift explained that she wasn’t feeling stressed about the wedding because she wasn’t overly editing the guest list. “I know it’s going to be fun to plan because I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount [of guests] and people are on the bubble, right?” she said. “And you have to evaluate and assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there. I’m not gonna do that. Anyone that I’ve ever talked to [is invited].”

She added, “It’s like, ‘Oh we have to have hung out eight times.’ It’s like, ‘You’re on the bubble. We’ve hung out five time.’ It’s going to be fun. I shouldn’t have said any of that.”

As it turns out, Swift was true to her word. The wedding was a who’s-who of celebrity pals, including Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Karlie Kloss, Zoë Kravitz, Ed Sheeran, Sombr, and the Haim sister. Swift’s country music roots were well represented with Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert, Kelsea Ballerini, Rascal Flatts guitarist Joe Don Rooney, and Maren Morris.

Beyond the music industry, Swift also made sure to invite celebrities she’s bonded with over the years, like Marisa Hargitay from Law & Order: SVU. Dakota Johnson, Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day, Emma Stone, Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Jessica Chastain added to the A-list hype. Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser, a longtime Swift fan, also scored an invite, as did The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon. Saturday Night Live star Marcello Hernández attended with his girlfriend Ana Amelia Batlle.

Of course, several athletes were on Kelce’s side of the aisle, including his Kansas City Chiefs teammates and head coach Andy Reid. Other NFL players, including LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, were also there. Kelce brought sports broadcasters to the party in Erin Andrews and Greg Olsen, who are also retired NFL players. Abby Wambach, who attended with wife Glennon Doyle, represented soccer, while NFL commissioner Roger Goodell joined the festivities.

‘Weird Al’ Has Seen Your ‘Weird A.I.’ Jokes and He Is Unamused

Even “Weird Al” Yankovic has limits to parodies he finds funny. For instance, he is not amused by the internet’s “Weird A.I.” jokes. Sure, “AI” in capital letters kinda looks like “Al,” but as he told Syracuse.com on Monday, he’s “not a fan of AI.” In fact, he made it clear that you literally cannot pay him obscene amounts of money to feign interest in artificial intelligence.

When a company hawking AI-powered “business software that would increase productivity” (ever the gentleman, Yankovic refused to name-and-shame) offered him “a nice pile of money” to flog their wares in a commercial he said no.
