Wolf Parade to reissue 'Apologies to the Queen Mary'

The Montréal band is also taking the opportunity to celebrate the renewed enthusiasm for their music sparked by Heated Rivalry.

Wolf Parade to reissue 'Apologies to the Queen Mary'

Montreal’s Wolf Parade had a big year in 2025, and 2026 is shaping up to be just as exciting.

After spending last year on the road celebrating the 20th anniversary of Apologies to the Queen Mary, their seminal 2005 album, Wolf Parade enjoyed a significant resurgence in popularity over the holidays. Their song I’ll Believe in Anything, which holds a special place in the heart and on the soundtrack of Montrealer Jacob Tierney, creator of the hit series Heated Rivalry, played a key role in that renewed attention.

Ranked among the 10 most-watched series on HBO platforms since its launch, the show, which centers on professional gay hockey players from rival teams involved in a secret relationship, prominently features a great deal of Canadian music.

The timing could not be better, as it was announced today that Wolf Parade will reissue Apologies to the Queen Mary on vinyl (transparent pink) via the renowned American label Sub Pop. Aware of exactly who this pressing would appeal to, the band also added a themed T-shirt to their merchandise lineup, in which the “L” in “Wolf Parade” is replaced by a hockey stick, alongside the song title I’ll Believe in Anything.

The Apologies to the Queen Mary vinyl is available for pre-order now. The band will be heading back on the road, including an Ontario tour scheduled for March.

Fugees Rapper Pras Turns Himself In to Begin 14-Year Sentence

Pras Michel, the Fugees member who was convicted in 2023 of charges including money laundering, illegal lobbying, and campaign finance violations, turned himself in to the Federal Correctional Institution in Safford, Arizona, where he will begin a 14-year prison sentence.

“Today is a painful day for Pras, for his family, and for everyone who believes in a fair system of justice,” Michel’s spokesperson, Erica Dumas, said in a statement. “Pras honors the legal process as he reports to begin his sentence. The FARA-related charges that led to his conviction are being vigorously contested on appeal, and his legal team believes the record will show that his rights were violated and the truth was obscured. This chapter is difficult but it is not his final one.”
