Snoop Dogg dropped a new single, “Stop Counting My Poccets.” The track, produced by Nottz, comes off the rapper’s forthcoming LP, 10 Til’ Midnight, out April 10.

The single arrived alongside a music directed by Luis De Pena and Yaslynn Rivera, which pays homage to classic West Coast gangster films. The clip is one part of a short film that acts as a visual for Snoop’s overall album.

Shot primarily in black and white, the short film features an appearance from West Coast rappers Ray Vaughn, G Perico, Hitta J3, and BLK ODYSSY. It follows brothers Ru Little and Do Wrong, both played by Snoop, who represent different paths and backgrounds as they navigate a high-stakes heist that goes wrong. The “Stop Counting My Poccets” video focuses one of the two characters.

10 Til’ Midnight features Swizz Beatz, Peezy, Trinidad James, October London, Kanobby, and Shawn Louisiana, with production from Swizz, Pharrell Williams, Rick Rock, Soopafly, Nottz, MyGuyMars, Erick Sermin, YoungFyre, and Snoop himself.

Last year, Snoop Dogg released Iz It a Crime?, his 21st solo effort. In October, he teamed up with former The Voice contestant Jeremy Beloate on single “Love Is Love” to support LGBTQ+ youth. The song was released in partnership with advocacy group GLAAD to celebrate Spirit Day, an annual initiative that harnesses influential voices to stand against the bullying of LGBTQ+ youth and families.

The song came after Snoop complained about the appearance of a same-sex couple in the Disney film Lightyear during an interview on the It’s Giving … Podcast last August. “They move on into the space years, and as they move down the line they’re like, ‘Then, she had a baby with a woman,’” Snoop said. “Now, my grandson, in the middle of the movie, is like, ‘Papa Snoop? How she have a baby with a woman? She’s a woman.’ Ah shit, I didn’t come in here for this shit. I just came to watch the goddamn movie.”

Britney Spears’ Rep Denies Singer Was Walking Around Restaurant With a Knife: ‘This Is Ridiculous’

Britney Spears‘ rep has addressed reports that the singer was “erratic” and walking around with a knife during a night out at dinner recently, claiming the purported events were being “completely blown out of proportion.”

“Britney was enjoying a quiet dinner with her assistant and bodyguard,” the spokesperson said in a statement provided to Rolling Stone on Thursday. ”She was simply telling the story about how her dog was barking at the neighbors. At no point did she put anyone in danger with a knife. She was cutting her hamburger in half.”

The album is set to drop on July 3 via Warner Records. The singer also recently shared “Bring Your Love,” a collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter, which the paired previewed at Coachella. Everything We Know About Drake's 'Iceman' So Far

For the first time in years, a new Drake album arrives carrying genuine uncertainty.

Iceman, the Toronto rapper’s ninth solo studio album, is set to release tomorrow, May 15, after months of cryptic teasers, livestreams, public stunts and relentless speculation. Under normal circumstances, a Drake release would already dominate the conversation by sheer scale alone.

This time, though, the album also arrives in the shadow of his highly publicized feud with Kendrick Lamar, which reshaped the public perception around one of rap’s biggest stars.

There's 'No Rock Stars' at Montréal's Pouzza Fest

Despite 13 editions under his belt, Hugo Mudie still gets nervous as Pouzza Fest rolls around. Every year since founding the legendary Montréal punk and DIY festival in 2011, the same worries come back. Will the weather cooperate? Did he forget an important detail? And, most importantly, will festivalgoers be happy?

For the past 15 years, Pouzza Fest has occupied a unique place within the punk scene ecosystem. Originally conceived as a relatively modest gathering for punk fans and touring bands, the festival has grown into one of the most respected DIY events in North America.
