Upcoming Leonard Cohen Tribute Tour Will Feature Feist, Rufus Wainwright and Serena Ryder

Leonard Cohen’s music will return to stages across Canada and Europe this fall and winter with Everybody Knows: The Official 10th Anniversary Concert Celebration, a family-led tribute tour marking a decade since the Montréal singer-songwriter’s death.

Created and directed by Cohen’s son, Adam Cohen, the production will bring together Canadian musicians, archival photographs and film footage to revisit the catalogue of one of the country’s most influential bards. Feist, Rufus Wainwright and Serena Ryder are among the artists set to perform at the Toronto date, joining Adam and his own son for a tribute spanning three generations of the Cohen family.

The Canadian leg opens November 2 at Québec City’s Grand Théâtre de Québec before moving to Montréal’s Théâtre Saint-Denis for performances on November 4 and 5. The tour concludes its Canadian dates at Toronto’s Meridian Hall on November 7, the 10th anniversary of Cohen’s death. European performances are scheduled to follow in early 2027.

The production follows the major public tribute held at the Bell Centre in November 2017, which featured performers including Feist, Wainwright, Elvis Costello and Sting.

Cohen died in Los Angeles on November 7, 2016, at age 82, weeks after releasing You Want It Darker. The album’s title track won a posthumous Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance in 2018. His final album, Thanks for the Dance, was released in 2019.

The tour’s visual design comes from Montréal-based multimedia studio Moment Factory, whose live-production credits include work with Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo and on the Super Bowl halftime shows.

Here’s to 20 Years of ‘Taylor Swift’

It’s strange to think the songs we used to sing from one of the most famous self-titled debut album’s turn 20 years old today. You know the ones I’m talking about. The song in the car, my favorite song, the whispered songs, “Mary’s Song,” “Our Song.” Twenty years ago, Taylor Swift invited the world into the one she built with these melodies.

Taylor Swift wasn’t just the singer-songwriter’s first album that turned her into a rising Nashville star. It was also the first chapter that sealed Swift’s future success as a superstar musician. Within a year of its release on Oct. 24, 2006, the LP debuted at Number 19 on the Billboard Hot 100, earned platinum status, and made hits out of singles “Tim McGraw” and “Our Song.” It’s the reason we’re here today, reflecting on two decades into a career so massive, even the curly-haired mess of a dreamer couldn’t fathom it at 15 years old. That teenager grew into a pop goliath, but it’s easier to fathom when you remember that it’s always been about the songs.
