Brady Ebert, former guitarist and co-founder of Turnstile, is currently in custody after being arrested for attempted murder, as Lambgoat first reported.
Ebert was arrested Tuesday, March 31st, following an incident that occured on Sunday, March 29th. He has been charged with one count of attempted second degree murder and one count of first degree assault. A bail hearing is scheduled for today.
The 33 year-old musician was kicked out of Turnstile in 2022 at the onset of their rise to fame. It was at the time suspected that Ebert's violent and erratic behaviour was a determining factor for the split. Shortly after announcing that Ebert and Turnstile were parting ways, drummer Daniel Fang requested a peace order against the guitarist, preventing Ebert ''from abusing, contacting, or coming near Fang's home or employment''. That order was eventually revoked.
Since, Ebert has gone on to form a new band called The S.E.T, but was kicked out earlier this year after making inflammatory comments online about his former band, notably saying that Turnstile was 'pandering' to fans and did not actually care about social issues.
In February, Turnstile won Best Metal Performance and Best Rock Album for their most recent effort, Never Enough.
