Travis and Jason Kelce Thank Taylor Swift’s Fans After ‘New Heights’ Wins Podcast Award

Travis and Jason Kelce Thank Taylor Swift’s Fans After ‘New Heights’ Wins Podcast Award

Jason and Travis Kelce know — and appreciate — their audience. The two brothers expressed their gratitude for Taylor Swift’s fans after their “New Heights” podcast won Podcast of the Year at the 2024 iHeartPodcast Awards.

In a video to accept the award, Jason joked about how he never expected “two jabronies” like himself and Travis to win. But he also acknowledged that they certainly couldn’t have done it without the Swiftie Nation. “To receive an award like this is beyond humbling, and we would be remiss if we didn’t immediately thank all the 92 percenters out there – AKA Swifties – who voted for us to win this award,” he said.

Travis echoed his older brother’s sentiments, calling their listeners “the best fanbase in the entire world.”

“You guys make this show what it is,” he continued. “We truly appreciate it. Thank you again to [the] iHeartPodcast Awards. To the 92 percenters, thank you guys as well.”

Travis and Jason sent in a video to accept the award, which took place at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, on Monday, after the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was reportedly spotted in Los Angeles on Sunday night attending an Oscars after-party with Swift.

Travis and the singer made their relationship public in Septemeber 2023 when Swift attended her first Kansas City Chiefs game (the two later revealed that they had already been privately dating for a month at that point). Following the initial outing, fans began regularly tuning in to Travis’ “New Heights” podcast to get updates on their relationship. While the NFL star usually keeps his mentions of Swift brief, has procided brief insights into their love story — like how he felt after Swift met his family and details on their recent trip to Australia, where he attended yet another Eras Tour concert.

Even after the Cheifs made the 2024 Super Bowl (which they went on to win), Travis and Jason took a moment on that week’s podcast episode to thank Swift for her support. “Also, shout out to the newest members of the Chiefs Kingdom — Swift — who has officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year,” Jason joked. “Shout out to Tay,” Travis added, laughing. “Thanks for joining the team.”

Cardi B Shuts Down Lawsuit Claiming ‘Enough (Miami)’ Used Beats From ‘Reservation Dogs’ Song

Cardi B scored another court victory Monday when a federal judge in Texas dismissed the copyright infringement lawsuit claiming her hit song “Enough (Miami)” stole beats from the 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” from the acclaimed FX series Reservation Dogs.

Plaintiffs Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known professionally as the production duo Kemika1956, sued the Grammy-winning rapper nearly two years ago, claiming she violated the copyright for “Greasy Frybread” by “reproducing, distributing, and publicly performing the infringing work” without permission. They later amended their complaint to add more claims, including defamation.

U.S. Attack Helicopters Flew to Kid Rock’s House. The Army Is Investigating

The U.S. Army raised its maximum age for enlistment to 42, which means Kid Rock, 55, still can’t join up. But that didn’t stop the MAGA mouthpiece from playing military man this past weekend in Nashville when he posted a video of himself saluting a pair of U.S. Army attack helicopters that, for reasons unknown, were hovering over his home in Whites Creek, Tennessee, a rural area about 11 miles outside of downtown.

In a video shared to Rock’s Instagram, the singer can be seen clapping for the two Apache helicopters from the pool deck of his home — a replica of the White House that he’s dubbed “The Southern White House.” A miniature State of Liberty watches over the pool. (Note: the real White House does not have a Statue of Liberty replica, yet.) “This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know,” Rock captioned the video, a dig at Gavin Newsom. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
