Brad Paisley shared a few details surrounding Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s wedding held at Madison Square Garden in midtown Manhattan earlier this month. While the ceremony itself may have been massive in scale, the arena has a seating capacity of 20,000, the country star said that it was “one of the least pretentious weddings” he’s ever attended.

Paisley and his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley, were among the lucky guests invited to witness the nuptials, which were shrouded in mystery as even those attending were given little detail about the event. Swift opened for Paisley during his 2007 tour when she was a teenager, and Paisley has praised The Life of a Showgirl singer throughout her career.

“I took this personally when I got the invite, because in the invite, it said, ‘If you’re getting this, you mean a lot to us,'” the country singer told the Associated Press in a recent interview. “And it was really fun to watch the cat-and-mouse game of like, ‘We can tell you roughly where it’s gonna be. We’re not gonna say what building… And here’s the date, and if you’re in, we’ll tell you more.’ And I went to my wife, I said, ‘Want to go?’ She’s like, ‘Absolutely. We’ve gotta be there.’ So we did it. It was RSVP yes.”

Looking back, Paisley said it was “ironically, one of the least pretentious weddings I’ve ever seen, or ever will see.” He added, “So, yeah, it meant a lot to be… It was kind of a big thank you from her to invite us.”

Ahead of Swift and Kelce’s wedding, the couple donated a generous gift of $26 million across 20 charities in the U.S. The list of charities were based in cities that hold personal connections for the pair and included the Paisley’s Nashville-based nonprofit, The Store.

“On the eve of the wedding of Tay and Trav, this is really an amazing thing to think about, the gift they gave The Store,” Paisley said in an Instagram video thanking Swift and Kelce for their donation. “We just wanted to take a second and say it’s transformative. It will feed so many families, and what a way to start a marriage.”

The Weeknd Apparently Reconsidering Name Change

The Weeknd spent a lot of time last year saying that Hurry Up Tomorrow, his latest album, would be his last under that moniker.

The Toronto singer developed a brand of pop that turned him into one of the biggest artists on the planet, but felt that The Weeknd's persona had run its course. The idea wasn't to stop making music altogether, but to eventually leave The Weeknd behind and move forward under his legal name, Abel Tesfaye, particularly as his ambitions expanded into acting, film and other creative projects.

Tupac Shakur Murder Trial: Everything You Need to Know

Nearly 30 years ago, rap superstar Tupac Shakur was headed to an afterparty in Las Vegas when he was gunned down in a drive-by shooting, his unknown killers speeding away from the scene in a white Cadillac. This week, the man who police accuse of orchestrating the fatal hit will stand trial over his death. If convicted, it will put to rest one of hip-hop’s biggest unsolved murders.

Jury selection for the criminal trial of Duane Keith Davis, aka Keffe D, begins Monday, with Nevada prosecutors planning to present evidence on how the South Side Compton Crips gang leader set in motion the fatal Sept. 7, 1996 shooting that would claim the life of one of rap’s most enduring icons.

Drake Turns Kick Stream Into a 20-v-1 Dating Show, Warns Rap Rivals His ‘Pen Isn’t Dry’

On Saturday, Drake continued his ongoing forays into the world of content creators, hosting a stream on Kick, which is affiliated with Stake, the crypto gambling company Drake is partnered with, which saw the rapper, fresh off the release of three new albums, flirting with a goth streamer, gifting out birkins, and sending not so subtle warnings to the rest of the rap game, noting that his “pen isn’t dry.”

The roughly three-hour broadcast marked the ninth anniversary of Stake, the online crypto casino that has sponsored Drake’s livestreams for years. The company announced the stream with an Instagram post advertising more than $1 million in cash and prize giveaways, including a $50,000 grand prize for one viewer. During the actual stream, things moved quickly beyond gambling, turning into something closer to a chaotic Drake variety show. Drake also used the opening portion of the stream to reflect on his recent releases, patting himself on the back a little for dropping three projects at once. He also has a warning for anyone considering taking more shots in his direction. “These guys are dropping albums, like hello and goodbye, and careful with that reply ’cause the pen isn’t dry,” he said.
