Sean Combs Sells Star Island Mansion for $55 Million

One of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Star Island estates in Miami has changed hands in a $55 million deal, as the music mogul continues to serve his 50-month federal prison sentence for his conviction on two counts of prostitution-related charges.

The waterfront mansion, located at 1 Star Island Drive and purchased by Combs in 2021 for $35 million, has been sold in an off-market transaction. The buyer, John A. Franklin, is financing the purchase through an $18.5 million mortgage from San Diego-based Axos Bank.

Convicted sex offender R. Kelly has filed a formal request asking President Trump to commute his 30-year prison sentence, according to records visible on the Justice Department’s website.

The clemency request was made public this week, the Chicago Tribune first reported. It’s listed online as a matter that’s pending with the White House Office of the Pardon Attorney.

Beck Previews New Album, ‘Ride Lonesome,’ With Plaintive ‘In the Night’

Beck will release his 15th studio album, Ride Lonesome, on Sept. 18 via Capitol Records. The LP marks the musician’s first collection of new songs since 2019’s Hyperspace.

Beck previously shared the title track, “Ride Lonesome,” in April. He released an expanded version of the song featuring Sierra Ferrell not long after. Along with the album’s announcement, Beck released a second single, “In the Night,” along with a cinematic music video for the track, which was directed by Mikai Karl and stars famed French actor Denis Lavant.
