Rosalía has always carved out her own lane as a pop star, and that’s especially true when it comes to her Lux world tour. Every night, the Spanish singer delivers show-stopping visuals, ballet moves, and operatic vocals. In between these elements, Rosalía has also built upon the religious imagery all over Lux with a unique idea: Each night, special guests deliver a confession to the singer in a recreated gothic confessional booth, just before she performs the biting track “La Perla.”

Since she kicked off the 57-date trek, Rosalía has invited a handful of famed stars, musicians and models alike, to unload their deepest, darkest secrets and sins related to their love lives. Here’s a list of all of the celebrity confessions, so far.

Chappell Roan has shared the inspiration behind her aching song “Casual” in past interviews, but during Rosalía’s concert in Oakland, the singer went into more detail than ever. “I saw Lola Young’s confession and it reminded me of something a little similar,” Roan said before describing a flirtatious situation she was in during the pandemic with a co-writer. “We talked for three months online … We were texting, I was sending pictures and stuff,” the singer remembered. Roan was so wrapped up, she even traveled to L.A. to go on a date with the person. “But then I didn’t hear from them for four days,” she said. After confronting her situationship, they informed her that they had met someone else in that short span of time. The worst part? “They said to this artist who I was friends with that they knew they should be sad and care about me but they don’t and that they don’t know why I’m so upset because it was just casual,” she said. The star ended her confession with the juiciest part: “I’ve never said this story because they write with some other artists you may know.” —Maya Georgi

Rosalía made her first night at L.A.’s Kia Forum extra special when she brought out none other than Karol G. The Spanish singer gave the superstar a proper introduction: “She’s a rockstar, a legend, a strong woman… give a huge round of applause to la bichota.” The Colombian singer joined the confession booth and revealed that her ex-boyfriend “didn’t like to celebrate his birthday with me.” She continued: “The most chimba part, the most curious, were the excuses that came year after year for me not to be at his birthday.” Karol saved the most heartbreaking tidbit for last. “In the final year [of us being together] we were going to go on a trip [for his birthday]” she said. “But he didn’t show up at the airport, I was left in the lounge … This made me realize even more how much it had already become a pattern of lack of consideration.” But Karol always remembers her bichota side. “I completely got off the flight,’” she said, winking at the audience. —M.G.

For her second night at MSG, Rosalía invited SNL star and comedian Marcello Hernández to the confessional. In Spanglish, he told a story he admitted he’d never shared before: Ten years ago, he went all out for an at-home Valentine’s Day date.“I cooked. I was using a YouTube tutorial. I set the table: fork, knife, spoon — formal. I bought two bottles of wine with my fake ID. I committed a crime for this lady,” Hernandez said. “I made the effort.” But his devotion was all for naught after his date told him she’d be an hour late…then two hours late…and then eventually ended up bailing. Hernandez confessed, “I drank a bottle of wine on Facetime with my mom.” Pobrecito. —M.G.

Maggie Rogers caused quite the stir at Rosalía’s Madison Square Garden show when she came to the confession booth and divulged the juicy details about a date she when went on with an unnamed New York Times journalist. “He calls me and he says, ‘I’ve got a vintage car, can I come pick you up?,” Rogers told the Spanish singer. According to Rogers, the pair wound up nearby the empty Times’ office — and ended up making out in one of the newsroom’s conference rooms. “It was such a move, but it was one in the morning … it’s like a really good time,” she said. But in the morning, the musician discovered the “handsome” and “single” journalist wasn’t so single after all. “My friend goes, ‘Oh my god, that’s my friend’s boyfriend,'” Rogers revealed. She surmised that the dude was a “loser” after all (true), and never to trust a journalist in the first place (not so true), giving Rosalía plenty to work with before her song “La Perla.” —M.G.

For her second night in London, Rosalía invited the multi-hyphenate Cara Delevigne into the confessional booth. Delevigne is never one to shy away from the truth — and she really laid out all of her romantic insecurities. “I’m a lesbian, and my weakness used to be straight women,” she admitted to the Spanish singer. “But now I’m in a committed relationship, and the thing is… I always used to love being the dominant one. I loved taking control, but I think that’s because I was scared of being seen. I was scared to be submissive because I didn’t want to receive love. But now I think I’m ready. I am ready.”

“This confession was very shocking to me. Very shocking,” Rosalía said, to which Delevigne responded: “My ring says ‘dyke’ on it, so…”—M.G.

Aitana

Aitana seemed to spill the tea on her past relationship with Colombian singer Sebastián Yatra during her confession in Madrid. Though the Spanish singer never named Yatra outright, the story she told Rosalía about an ex who admitted he was bound to become unfaithful after a year of dating lines up with Yatra’s own public admissions. “I decided to give it another shot, but then those statements came out,” Aitana said, which fans took as a reference to Yatra’s similar comments on a podcast.

Immediately, Rosalía connected the dots and asked Aitana, “Could it be the [singer] who pulled some marketing stunt by saying something about me?” When the Spanish singer confirmed, Rosalía added, I knew it. I have to confess something else here: he apologized to me, and I didn’t forgive him — sorry.” —M.G.

Lola Young

When the Spanish singer played London’s O2 Arena during her tour, she brought out special powerhouse vocalist Lola Young for the confessional portion of the night, and Young did not disappoint with a juicy story about a call gone wrong.

“I was seeing someone for about four months, it was getting pretty serious,” she said. “I have to confess I thought I was falling in love. He was a bit older, like an older human being. Men seem to mature a lot less quickly.” She continued, saying that the two of them had been in bed together one night when things took a turn: “His phone rings just as he’s about to finish and he jumps up and he’s like, ‘I’ll be back in two minutes,'” she rememebered. He didn’t realize his phone was plugged in through a Bluetooth speaker as he took the call. “He goes downstairs so he’s on the phone and his wife is asking him to bring back nappies for his kids. I hear it all on the Bluetooth speaker.”

Young, who is openly bisexual, said it was all she needed to swear off men. “I lost the plot a bit,” she said. “I was like, I can’t do this, I’m back to women.'” —Julyssa Lopez

Spanish singer Guitarricadelafuente is known for deeply personal lyricism, so fans couldn’t wait to hear what he’d say when he stepped into Rosalía’s confessional. He had a fun, slightly embarrassing story a lot a trip to Seville Santa Justa where he and a partner stayed at a rustic house on a freezing December night. He recalled that it didn’t have electricity or running water and the windows were shuttered down, which did not impress his romantic partner.

In the end, the night was so bad that he got broken up with: “He told me he needed más calle (more street).” —J.L.

Kika Navazreth, the Barça player, joined Rosalía onstage to confess that she was once caught up in a love triangle with two other women. In her confession, Navazreth spins a dramatic tale of inviting a woman she was into to her birthday party, where the woman fell for another one of her friends, who the soccer player once hooked up with herself. “I like to hook up,” Navazreth said.

Rosalía finally declared, “Kika, what was happening was that you liked both of them” before dedicating the break-up track to Navazreth’s love triangle. —M.G.

Bad Gyal and Rose had a Barcelona babes meet-up in their home city, an apt reunion spot for both of them. Fans roared when Rosalia introduced Bad Gyal in Catalan and had her take a seat in the confessional.

Bad Gyal did not disappoint with her story. She got intensely honest and shared the memory of a guy she had been hooking up with who had the audacity to tell her she needed implants. The audience and Rosalia were shocked and the conversation took an empowering turn about how women don’t need jerks telling them what to do with their bodies. —J.L.

Ekko Astral Say Goodbye, For Now

Just two years ago, D.C. punk band Ekko Astral felt on top of the world. Their debut album, Pink Balloons, struck a chord with young Americans watching the 2024 election unfold into a repeat nightmare, and made waves well beyond their local scene; it was sad, hilarious, and invigorating, all at the same time. Ekko’s success landed them opening slots for Jeff Rosenstock and PUP, then sent them back in the studio to make a new record they called The Beltway is Burning. They didn’t know how to make sense of it all. All they knew was that it felt awesome.

Twin Temple Go to Hell: Duo Talk Satan Worship, Charley Crockett Drama

Before Charley Crockett nixed a husband-and-wife duo from his tour last week over their use of “Satanic imagery,” it’s likely that few had ever heard the name Twin Temple. A cult band (perhaps literally) out of L.A., the group have released throwback rock and doo-wop songs with titles like “Lucifer, My Love” and “Satan’s a Woman.” Apparently that was too much for Crockett and, well, all hell broke loose online: Twin Temple announced they’d been removed from the shows, Crockett defended his decision, and then Jack White got involved, offering Twin Temple an opening slot at one of his upcoming gigs.

Future Can’t Quite Freshen His Formula on ‘The Real Me’

When an artist has made 13 albums and nearly two dozen mixtapes in 15 years, does that person have anything new left to say? It’s a question that hangs over Nayvadius “Future” Cash’s latest album, The Real Me.

Most of Future’s peers in the post-Lil Wayne digital-trap era of the early 2010s, from fellow Atlanta stars Young Thug and 2 Chainz to Southern boldfaced names like Kodak Black and Kevin Gates, have faded back into the regional-rap morass. Meanwhile, Future continues to successfully mine his formula on the Billboard charts. It was his 2024 collaboration with Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar, the Number One hit “Like That,” that ignited Lamar’s historic battle with the king of streaming, Canadian superstar Drake. This year, Future and Drake — whose history together ranges from the self-satisfied 2015 mixtape What a Time to Be Alive to “Wait for U,” a moodily evocative 2022 chart-topper with Nigerian singer Tems — settled their differences on “Ran to Atlanta,” a cut from Drake’s blockbuster Iceman that peaked at Number Two on the Billboard Hot 100.

Jack White’s ‘Frozen Charlotte’ Is a Rage for These Times

Jack White’s ‘Frozen Charlotte’ Is a Rage for These Times

“I got one rule/I don’t start nothing/Nothing I can’t finish,” Jack White announces early in this album’s nonstop cannonade of martial-blues stomp and guitar-army theater, summing up his moral code in the chopped stride and soprano-distortion seizures of “Derecho Demonico.” And there’s more. “What I do/And how I do/And why I do it/It’s all none of your business,” he warns, firing each line like he’s spitting bullets. Still don’t get his drift? The song’s title is Spanish for “demonic law.” Cross this cat at your peril.

Frozen Charlotte is White’s eighth solo album, fourth in as many years, and his most sustained maximalist-garage studio party in the eternity since the White Stripes’ breakthrough rager, 2003’s Elephant. There was more room to catch your breath in the swagger and density of Led Zeppelin II than you get in White’s serial rush out of that devilry in “Derecho Demonico” into the rockslide riffing and Hammond organ afire of “There’s Nobody There”; the hard rain of tribal drumming and shouted incantation of “Raising the Grain”; and the 1968-Motor City helter-skelter of “You’ll Never Fix Me.” In that last blast, White and his current killers on the road — bassist Dominic Davis (one of the leader’s original Buzzards), drummer Patrick Keeler (the Greenhornes, the Raconteurs) and B-3 wrangler Bobby Emmett (formerly in Detroit ravers the Sights) — get down like they’re on a Saturday-night bill at the Grande Ballroom with SRC and the MC5, with an extra touch of Emmett’s closing, ghostly trail of mellotron.
