Justin Trudeau and Katy Perry continue their tradition of showing up in unexpected places, and their latest viral destination was a Home Hardware store on St Laurent boulevard in Montréal.

In a video uploaded to Instagram on Sunday night, the former Prime minister can be seen dancing around with various objects, including a plunger and some storage bins, and singing along to his son Xavier's latest single, while girlfriend Katy Perry films. The video frequently zooms in on the hardware store's speaker system, which is playing 'Downtown', XAV's newest single, which has officially entered the Canadian Billboard charts.

This is his first song to chart. The former politician's son recently announced a global distribution deal with 907 Records and ADA Canada.

In the past, XAV admitted he and his superstar new stepmom, whom he describes as 'cool' and 'nice', have discussed his music and that she's given him tips and pointers. ''We talked for hours, talking about my music'', he said, adding that he's also had music discussions with Drake, one of his biggest inspirations. Last week, he also shared a clip of his mother, Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau, reacting to his single 'Downtown' upon hearing it for the first time.

The Charts and the Clubs Have Different Definitions of the Song of the Summer

Diamora Hunt didn’t have to do much during the first stretch of her CultureCon Café set in early June. Organizers for the event recruited the Los Angeles-based DJ, who performs as Rosegawd, to keep the room from feeling static. For a while, she played background tracks while guests mingled throughout Sincerely Yours, a Black-owned art gallery and club in downtown L.A. Once everyone seemed comfortable, Hunt found the perfect moment to turn up the heat.

The crowd’s attention had been split between each other and Game Four of the NBA Finals, where the New York Knicks were rapidly rebounding from a 29-point deficit against the San Antonio Spurs. With less than two seconds left in the match, the Knicks took the lead. In time with the final buzzer, Hunt dropped “Spend Dat,” the Yung Miami hit released in April. “That room erupted in a unison of happiness,” Hunt tells Rolling Stone. “They just took that moment to be talking about, ‘Where are the scammers?’”

Troye Sivan Drops ‘She’s The Best,’ Featuring Secret Charli XCX Cameo

Troye Sivan just dropped “She’s The Best,” the first single off his upcoming album of the same name — and there’s a surprise cameo on it from his close friend Charli XCX.

The track is an adoring portrait of an unnamed woman, with Sivan coolly narrating everything about her: her appearance, quirks, overall demeanor. Maybe they’re mundane observations to the average person, but to Sivan, every detail is magic. “That girl, wow,” he sings, awestruck. “She’s the best.”
