Jonas Brothers debuted a new song, “Listen When Sad,” during their concert at Madison Square Garden on Thursday night. The group, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas, showcased the track during the latter half of the show.

“We’ve tapped back into a sound that was kind of the sound of the early 2000s,” Nick told the crowd. “To be honest, that was heavily inspiring to us. Bands like Switchfoot, Taking Back Sunday, Dashboard Confessional. We re-teamed with the producer of our self-titled album, A Little Bit Longer, and Lines, Vines and Trying Times.”

Jonas Brothers are currently on their Burning Up Tour: All Over Again, which includes three nights at MSG. The original Burnin’ Up Tour took place nearly two decades ago in 2008. The global trek came after the release of their album A Little Bit Longer, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album went on to sell more than two million copies and remains beloved by fans today.

The trio also recently relived their early years by returning to Disney’s Camp Rock franchise. Camp Rock 3, out now, finds the Jonas Brothers returning as fictional band Connect 3, who are looking for a new opening act. That search brings them back to Camp Rock, where a fresh set of campers are ready to show their stuff. The film’s soundtrack includes a new JoBros number, “Come On Over,” although it’s billed under Connect 3.

Jonas Brothers have yet to announce a release date for the studio version of “Listen When Sad.” The tour continues tonight at Madison Square Garden, and will head to cities across the U.S. this fall, kicking off in Boston on Sept. 25.

Ariana Grande Wins Fast-Track Subpoena Power to ‘Unmask’ Alleged Hackers

A Los Angeles judge has granted Ariana Grande the fast-track subpoena power she says is crucial to identifying hackers who allegedly stole her unreleased music, photos and videos, then sold the material on the “dark web” for “significant sums of money.”

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Mark H. Epstein ruled Wednesday that because Grande currently has no way to identify the alleged hackers, she doesn’t have to comply with a waiting period tied to providing notice to the defendants in her recently filed invasion of privacy lawsuit.

The National Capital Commission acquired the landmark corner property in 2024, later enlisting promoter Live Nation Canada to oversee the two-year refit. The sleek, two-level room shares a brand with Toronto’s History but the Ottawa venue has a style all of its own.

Alex Lifeson Quit Weed for Rush’s Tour. These 10 Musicians Gave It Up, Too (Or At Least Tried)

Rush’s Alex Lifeson spent decades as one of rock’s most brilliantly productive stoners. He always played concerts sober, but half-joked to me in 2015 that he wrote “80 percent” of his oft-labyrinthine parts for Rush’s music with THC assistance. But this year, with a high-pressure reunion tour looming, he finally quit weed, as he revealed in our recent cover story interview, published in collaboration with Rolling Stone Canada. “I started having these negative feelings about my confidence and about what was ahead of us. We were halfway through the process. It’s too late to jump off this ship that’s screaming across the sea. And I thought, this is interfering with the way my brain should be working, and the kind of focus and discipline that all of a sudden I really wanted to have in my life.”

His student-teacher relationship with RZA ultimately led to one of the most unusual music projects of the 21st century.
