This week, Kelela ponders the end of the world on a shoegazing track inspired by Parable of the Sower; The Strokes return with a bubbly (and Auto-Tuned) ditty from their recently announced seventh album, and Holly Humberstone rails against the double standards set for young women in music on her new record’s knockout finale. Simple Plan to Release Children's Picture Book

They might not be kids anymore, but the smash hit they released a quarter-century ago has earned them new audiences, generation after generation. Now, Montréal pop-punk vets Simple Plan are about to reach an even younger one.

The band announced yesterday the upcoming release of I'm Just a Kid, a children's picture book retracing the story of their career, which began in the mid-90s, when the members were attending Collège Beaubois, a high school in Montréal's Pierrefonds suburb. Since officially coming together in 1999 as Simple Plan, the band has sold millions of records and performed sold-out arena shows around the globe, in no small part thanks to their best-known track, I'm Just a Kid, from which the book takes its name.

Robert Kraft Responds to Macklemore’s Invite to Match $1 Million to Palestinian Support Groups

Hours after Macklemore challenged Robert Kraft “to match” his $1 million donation to organizations supporting Palestinians, the billionaire New England Patriots owner responded. Earlier in the week, Kraft allegedly led a pressure campaign to force the Seattle rapper off of Ed Sheeran’s The Loop Tour, igniting a firestorm of backlash from artists and fans accusing Kraft of censoring Macklemore’s free speech.

“I’ve dedicated much of my life to building bridges between all people. I believe deeply that all lives are worth protecting,” Kraft said in a statement on Gillette Stadium’s social media. (Kraft owns the venue.) “Earlier today, before Macklemore challenged me to match his donation, Ed called me and asked me to commit $2 million to match his donation to aid in the region to fight this humanitarian crisis. Ed now plans to reach out to other venue owners and our goal is to continue to work together to build bridges.”

Drake Unloads New Music and Confirms 2027 World Tour in ''FOMO''

After weeks of cryptic teasers and rampant fan speculation, Drake finally unveiled Fear of Missing Out on Tuesday night, though with a few hours of delay.

The Toronto rapper's self-described "not so short film" runs for just over an hour, blending new music, cinematic sequences, celebrity cameos and a series of increasingly bizarre side quests. Arriving roughly four months after Drake's May run of ICEMAN, HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR, FOMO seems to lean into the Boy's new era.
