Boots and Hearts is marking its 15th anniversary with an unexpected booking. Republic Live confirmed that the Jonas Brothers will headline the festival’s Friday night on August 7 at Burl’s Creek Event Grounds, making their first appearance at a country music festival.

The multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated trio is best known for its pop catalogue and stadium-scale tours. Their addition signals a deliberate shift for Canada’s largest country music and camping festival, which has increasingly reflected the genre’s commercial crossover with mainstream pop. The Jonas Brothers have collaborated with country artists in recent years, including Russell Dickerson, and have existing ties to Rascal Flatts and Ashley Cooke, both also on this year’s bill.

They join previously announced headliners The Chicks on Saturday, August 8, and Rascal Flatts on Sunday, August 9. The pairing brings together acts associated with different eras of country’s mainstream expansion, from The Chicks’ late-1990s breakthrough to Rascal Flatts’ 2000s chart dominance.

The broader 2026 lineup blends established names and emerging artists, including Russell Dickerson, Tucker Wetmore, Jessie Murph, Sam Barber, Dasha, Max McNown and Kaitlin Butts. Canadian talent remains central to the programming, with Brett Kissel, James Barker Band and Carolyn Dawn Johnson featured alongside developing acts such as Thelma & James and Savannah Jade.

Cardi B scored another court victory Monday when a federal judge in Texas dismissed the copyright infringement lawsuit claiming her hit song “Enough (Miami)” stole beats from the 2021 song “Greasy Frybread” from the acclaimed FX series Reservation Dogs.

Plaintiffs Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, known professionally as the production duo Kemika1956, sued the Grammy-winning rapper nearly two years ago, claiming she violated the copyright for “Greasy Frybread” by “reproducing, distributing, and publicly performing the infringing work” without permission. They later amended their complaint to add more claims, including defamation.

In a video shared to Rock’s Instagram, the singer can be seen clapping for the two Apache helicopters from the pool deck of his home — a replica of the White House that he’s dubbed “The Southern White House.” A miniature State of Liberty watches over the pool. (Note: the real White House does not have a Statue of Liberty replica, yet.) “This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know,” Rock captioned the video, a dig at Gavin Newsom. “God Bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
