Simone Biles’ dad Ronald celebrated a milestone birthday just days after his daughter made history at the Olympics — and now he has a gift from Snoop Dogg to remember it by. On Thursday, the gymnast’s sister Adria shared a photo of their dad Ronald celebrating his 75th birthday with a gold chain around his neck — gifted by Snoop himself.

“Snoop gave him a chain, now he don’t know how to act,” Adria wrote on her Instagram story. The photo sees Ronald holding up a Death Row Records golden chain over his Team USA merch while celebrating from inside an Olympic stadium. “75 looks great on you! Happy birthday I love you,” Adria continued.

Also on Thursday, Simone shared a photo of Ronald holding up a chocolate cake and some candles while the family watched the track and field competitions. “Happy Birthday,” read the cake’s frosting.

The Biles family has been spending some time alongside Snoop during the Games. Simone’s parents Nellie and Ronald watched the Opening Ceremony with Snoop and Hoda Kotb, and remembered a time they met Snoop years ago. “I’ll never forget we met you in Times Square in 2010. We asked for a picture and you said, ‘Two minutes.’ One, two and you were gone,” Nellie said during the ceremony as the crew giggled.

The sweet celebration comes just a week after Biles completed her competition at the Olympic games, after winning three gold medals and a silver medal for Team USA.  Biles made history with her all-around final win, which she also won in Rio in 2016. The victory made her the first U.S. gymnast to win the women’s all-around competition twice and just the third gymnast to do it ever. 

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg has become a fan-favorite of NBC’s coverage of the Paris Games. On Friday, the musician opened up the first breakdance battles at the Olympic Games by C-walking on the breakdancing stage.

After ‘Marty Supreme’, Tyler, the Creator’s 2025 Run Feels Untouchable

Anthony Joshua, the champion boxer who just fought streamer Jake Paul, has survived a car crash in Nigeria that left two others dead, local authorities revealed Monday, Dec. 29.

Nigerian police and the country’s Federal Road Safety Corps confirmed the details, saying the accident occurred when a black Lexus crashed into a stationary truck around noon local time on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Makun, Ogun State. Joshua, who was in the Lexus, reportedly sustained “minor injuries” and was “receiving medical attention,” the police said.

Rolling Stone: You recently did a panel with Gary Vee’s VaynerMedia at their New York office. That is a major crossover moment between creativity and business. How did that come together, and what was that experience like for you?

The.97: Gary DM’d me personally one day, completely out of the blue. It caught me off guard because I had followed his content for years, and seeing him recognize my work meant a lot. He invited me to his New York office, and that visit turned into something much bigger. I met Mike Boyd and the whole Vayner team, and it instantly felt like I was in a room full of people who understood brand storytelling and creative scale. After that, they brought me to Cannes for their events, and that experience shifted my mindset. You see how the biggest agencies in the world think and how they connect art and commerce seamlessly. It was validating and inspiring. It reminded me that Toronto creativity belongs on that same world stage.

Cops Who Falsified Warrant Used in Breonna Taylor Raid Didn’t Cause Her Death, Judge Rules

A federal judge in Kentucky ruled that two police officers accused of falsifying a warrant ahead of the deadly raid that killed Breonna Taylor were not responsible for her death, The Associated Press reports. And rather than the phony warrant, U.S. District Judge Charles Simpson said Taylor’s boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, was responsible for her death because he fired upon the police officers first — even though he had no idea they were police officers.

The ruling was handed down earlier this week in the civil rights violation case against former Louisville Police Detective Joshua Jaynes and former Sgt. Kyle Meany. The two were not present at the March 2020 raid when Taylor was killed. Instead, in 2022, Attorney General Merrick Garland accused the pair (along with another detective, Kelly Goodlett) of submitting a false affidavit to search Taylor’s home before the raid and then conspiring to create a “false cover story… to escape responsibility” for preparing the phony warrant.
