Visitors to adidas Home of Soccer at STACKT Market got an unexpected addition to their FIFA World Cup celebrations on June 28 when Grammy-nominated rapper Big Sean made a surprise appearance, taking the stage for a special daytime performance.

Performing a selection of fan favourites, the Detroit artist transformed the space into an intimate live concert as fans gathered at one of Toronto's biggest World Cup destinations. Since opening for FIFA World Cup 2026, adidas Home of Soccer has become a hub for supporters to watch matches, celebrate the tournament and experience football culture beyond the stadium.

The free fan destination features official FIFA World Cup watch parties on a giant outdoor screen, athlete appearances, interactive activations, an adidas retail pop-up and rotating experiences for fans throughout the tournament.

Big Sean's surprise set marked one of the standout music moments at adidas Home of Soccer, which has welcomed thousands of fans over the course of the tournament as Toronto embraces its role as one of FIFA World Cup 2026's host cities. Alongside live match screenings, the space has become a gathering point where football, music and culture come together in the heart of the city.

The performance formed part of the Rolling Stone Canada and adidas programming at adidas Home of Soccer, which has featured interviews, performances and fan experiences with guests including French Montana and Jessie Reyez throughout the tournament.

Canada will join Eurovision

Big news for local artists on Canada day, as the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) announced today that Canada will make its Eurovision debut in 2027, becoming the first new participating nation since Australia joined the competition in 2015. The move follows CBC/Radio-Canada's admission as a full EBU member, giving the public broadcaster the right to enter the contest. Canada will compete in the semi-finals, with details about its selection process expected later this year.

For decades, Canada has maintained an unusually close relationship with Eurovision despite being outside Europe. Canadian audiences have embraced the contest through streaming, social media, and the introduction of the "Rest of the World" vote, while one of Eurovision's most iconic winners, Céline Dion, claimed victory for Switzerland in 1988.

Rush Postpones 2 Shows After Geddy Lee Diagnosed With Laryngitis and Bronchitis

Rush announced that its remaining two dates of a four-show run at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, have been postponed after lead singer and bassist Geddy Lee was diagnosed with laryngitis and bronchitis.

In a statement shared on Tuesday to Rush’s official Instagram account, the band said that the June 20 and July 2 shows will now take place on July 11 and July 13, respectively. Lee was advised by doctors to “rest and recover before returning to the stage,” said the group. “This is incredibly disappointing for all of us. We know many of you have made travel plans and have been counting down the days to these shows. Please know this decision was not made lightly.”

Victor Willis, the lead singer of disco band The Village People, has died at the age of 74.

The singer, who provided vocals on the band’s legendary hit “Y.M.C.A.” died on Tuesday, his family have confirmed. “We are profoundly sad to announce the death of Victor Willis, lead singer of Village People,” the band said. “Victor passed on Monday June 30, 2026 of a short but aggressive illness. Privacy is requested.”

Could Britt pull a reverse “sayonara” and come back to help Dylan out of his jam? And would Dylan have just one guitarist in the band for the first time since the John Jackson days of 1991, or might we see the debut of two new members?
