As seemingly everyone in the world is caught up in the trend of sharing their selfies from 2016, Toronto pop-punk legends PUP are gearing up for the celebration of their 2016 classic The Dream is Over.
Recorded with Dave Schiffman in Toronto, the record came about after singer Stefan Babcock was diagnosed with vocal cord problems and was told by his doctor that he would no longer be able to perform as a vocalist. (Obviously, she was wrong.)
Three records and many world tours later, the band is taking over the RBC Amphitheater (formerly the Budweiser Stage) on August 23rd. To celebrate, PUP will be joined by American emo veterans Jimmy Eat World, who will be celebrating the 25 year anniversary of Bleed American, widely recognized as one of the most classic records of the genre.
According to PUP's Instagram post, both bands will be playing their records 'in full', as well as other hits from their respective repertoires. Tickets for the Toronto show go on sale this Friday, Jan. 23rd, and more dates might be added.
