As the Iran war enters its fourth month, the Republican-led House voted on Wednesday to end the war with Iran, with four Republicans backing Democrats in the push against President Donald Trump.

The 215-208 bipartisan vote to adopt the war powers resolution is largely a symbolic congressional action, likely to be vetoed by Trump if passed in Congress. However, the strike points to resistance within the GOP and could pressure the president to change course in the military campaign he has repeatedly claimed will be over soon.

“Following repeated attempts to get sycophants in the Republican-controlled House to join us, House Democrats successfully passed our War Powers Resolution today to stand up for the American people and hold Donald Trump accountable. It is now time for Senate Republicans to do the right thing,” said a statement from Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and his top two deputies, Katherine Clark of Massachusetts and California’s Pete Aguilar.

The deeply unpopular war with Iran has caused the price of gas to soar and inflation to skyrocket to a three-year high. In May, a senior Pentagon official said that the U.S. has spent $29 billion so far on the ongoing conflict, while its objectives remain confusing and nebulous after months of chaos.

Multiple polls have shown that Americans want an end to the war. Last month, a CNN poll revealed that 70 percent of Americans agree that Trump is doing a bad job on the economy. Meanwhile, 65 percent of Americans said Trump’s policies “have worsened economic conditions.”

As for Trump’s thoughts on the issues everyday Americans are facing amid rising costs of living? When asked before departing for China a few weeks ago to what extent the financial crisis is motivating him to make a deal with Iran, Trump replied, “Not even a little bit.” Trump said, “The only thing that matters when I’m talking about Iran is that they can’t have a nuclear weapon.”

“I don’t think about Americans’ financial situation,” the president added.

Trump Administration Agrees to Temporarily Suspend $1.8 Billion ‘Weaponization’ Slush Fund

Days after a federal judge temporarily halted the President Donald Trump‘s controversial $1.776 billion fund to send taxpayer money to “victims of lawfare and weaponization,” the administration agreed to comply with the court ruling.

In a statement, the Department of Justice said that while it “disagrees strongly with the decision on the Anti-Weaponization Fund put forth by the United States District Court Judge in the Eastern District of Virginia,” the department “will abide by the Court’s ruling.” However, the White House has not stated whether it will attempt to make changes to the fund or scrap it altogether.

Trump Urges to ‘Cancel’ Freedom 250 Show After Artists Drop Out: Their ‘Music Is Boring’

President Donald Trump wants to nix the the Freedom 250 concert, and instead wants to hold a Make America Great Again Rally. His latest missive follows him initially recommending that he himself perform following the sudden exits of artists booked for the event dubbed the “Great American State Fair on National Mall” in Washington D.C.

“We should have a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, for 250, instead of having overpriced singers, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet who do nothing but complain,” he posted on Truth Social late Saturday afternoon. “Cancel it, just like I canceled my involvement with the failing and unsafe to be in Kennedy Center, because a Highly Conflicted, Crooked Federal Judge, said that I should not be allowed to spend my time and money in order to MAKE THE CENTER GREAT AGAIN, actually, far greater than it ever was before!”

Donald Trump loves money. He also loves to plaster his name and face across any piece of federal property that could possibly accommodate them — from passports, to memorials to other presidents, to National Park passes. It was probably inevitable, then, that he’d eventually try to put his face on U.S. currency.

The Washington Post reported on Thursday that the administration is pressing the Treasury Department’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing to design a $250 bill featuring Trump’s face. The Post cites four current and former employees, who noted that the ask raised concerns as it is illegal for currency to feature anyone still alive. The Treasury even provided a mockup of the design, and the artists reportedly consulted Trump about it.

Hantavirus Response Official Is a Right-Wing Penile Implant Expert

A new virus is killing people as global health organizations work to control its spread and convince the public that the hantavirus outbreak is just an outbreak not another pandemic. Americans can rest assured that Dr. Brian Christine, a penile implant specialist and assistant secretary for health at the Department of Health and Human Services, is on the case.

According to a Friday report from CNN’s KFile, Christine — an admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps — is a surgical urologist with virtually no experience in public health. He once hosted an “Erection Connection” video series on YouTube, and spread conspiracies about the Covid-19 vaccine during the Biden administration. He is now one of the Trump administration’s top officials in charge of infectious disease policy.
