Why Do People Think Drake Is Keshia Chanté's Baby Daddy?

Representatives for the rapper denied the rumours, which have had the internet buzzing since Chanté announced she is seven months pregnant.

Yesterday, Hello! Canada published an interview and exclusive photoshoot with Canadian pop star Keshia Chanté, in which the singer revealed she is seven months pregnant. What overshadowed that news, however, is the fact that the 38 year-old artist refused to say who the father was, only confirming that he was also involved in music.

Short of giving us a name, Chanté said the person was ''super creative and just constantly doing things that I’m inspired by,” adding that she would “love to see my son have his mannerisms and his swag.”

Naturally, the internet went into a frenzy, with many speculating that Drake, Chanté's one-time boyfriend, was the mystery genitor.

Quickly, representatives for the eternal playboy shut those rumours down, telling E! News ''It's false.'' Reps for Chanté have yet to comment.

Chanté was previously engaged to former NHL goaltender Ray Emery, but called it off in 2017, after claiming he had threatened and assaulted her with a weapon. Emery died less than a year later, after accidently drowning in Hamilton.

Drake, who has also previously dated celebs like SZA, Rihanna and Serena Williams. This isn't the first time Drake has to publicly deny fatherhood of a child. Famously, he was reluctant to acknowledge he was the father of his 8 year-old son Adonis, whom he shares with former French porn actress Sophie Brussaux. In 2017, reps for Drake told TMZ: “This woman has a very questionable background. She has admitted to having multiple relationships. We understand she may have problems getting into the United States. She’s one of many women claiming he got them pregnant. If it is in fact Drake’s child, which he does not believe, he would do the right thing by the child.”

After paternity tests, it was concluded that Adonis was in fact the Toronto rapper's son, and Drake seems to enjoy his life as a single father.

Justin Timberlake Is Finally Ready to Take Accountability for All His Beatboxing

Over the past few years, Justin Timberlake has done a lot of apologizing and taking accountability. The pop star hasn’t had the smoothest mid-career run, whether he’s solemnly copping to new indiscretions, or confronting old ones. Social media, after all, has a way of resurfacing old, embarrassing incidents just when you think everyone’s forgotten. Like the content creator Hannah Young, who shed fresh light on one of the more problematic patterns from the early days of Timberlake’s career: incessant beatboxing.

On Monday, Young shared a video about Timberlake’s penchant for spitting “boots and cats,” and the audience’s questionable willingness to just go along with it. “Nobody said, ‘Justin, you know, we have drums? This is a professional recording studio. There are instruments available to you,’” Young deadpanned. “But, no. Justin Timberlake wanted to make space noises with his mouth.”

Haywire Are Living Their Hardcore Dreams

Only a nor’easter could have stopped Boston hardcore band Haywire from performing the dates leading up to the release of their new album, I Don’t Want to Say Goodbye. They were booked to play a string of gigs late last month, including a high-profile slot at New York’s CBGB Festival, until they were all wiped out by that East Coast storm.

“It takes a miracle for us to cancel,” says frontman Austin Sparkman. That’s not hyperbole for Haywire, who have played more than 400 shows since forming in 2023. In fact, they played 96 gigs in 101 days across all 50 states in the summer of 2024. “I just try to do everything to the extreme,” Sparkman adds.

Hayley Williams Responds to DHS’ Suggestion to Thank Officers After ICE Comments: ‘Nazi Bitches’

Hayley Williams has drawn the ire of President Donald Trump’s Department of Homeland Security.

When performing her Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party track “Ice in My OJ,” the singer shouted “Fuck ICE” and “Free Palestine” during her stop in Chula Vista, California, over the weekend. The declarations have become a staple at her concerts since the launch of the Hayley Williams Show in September, which includes her pre-”True Believer” onstage statement that “the greatest threat to American democracy is Christian nationalism.”
