Modest Mouse are back, with their upcoming album An Eraser and a Maze arriving June 5, 2026. The record marks their first full-length release in five years and will be their first independent release in more than 20 years, coming out on frontman Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace record label.
To accompany the album announcement, the group has shared “Picking Dragon’s Pockets”, a new track. In March, Modest Mouse had also shared the single ''Look How Far'', which will also be featured on An Eraser and a Maze.
The band will support the release with an extensive 2026 tour that includes several Canadian stops. They are scheduled to perform in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 3 at the Orpheum Theatre, followed by a Calgary, Alberta appearance on July 5 at the Calgary Stampede and a Saskatoon, Saskatchewan date on July 7 as part of the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival. Later in the year, the tour returns to Canada with shows in Ottawa, Ontario on October 4 at HISTORY Ottawa and Toronto, Ontario on October 5 at Meridian Hall.
