Missy Elliott to Receive Visionary Icon Honor at Culture Creators Awards Brunch

Grammy award-winning femcee and producer Missy Elliott is set to receive the Amazon Music Visionary Icon Award at the Culture Creators Innovators & Leaders 10th annual awards brunch on Friday, June 26, 2026.

The honor will be presented by the Culture Creators Foundation and Amazon Music at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. Up-and-coming R&B artist JayDon will take the stage to deliver a special tribute performance in honor of Elliott’s legacy and impact on the music industry.

“For the past ten years, Culture Creators has sustained, elevated, and celebrated the people in front of and behind the scenes who move culture forward,” states Culture Creators founder and CEO Joi Brown, who worked alongside Missy during her time at Atlantic Records. “Missy Elliott is the definition of an icon, and her impact continues to inspire artists, executives, creators, and fans across the globe.”

“Amazon Music is incredibly proud to come together with the Culture Creators Foundation to present the Visionary Icon Award to Missy Elliott,” adds Phylicia Fant, Global Director, BlackMusic and Culture at Amazon Music.

Missy will be among additional honorees including Critics Choice Award winner Janelle James (Film/TV Award), entertainment executive Suzanne de Passe (Icon Award — Film/TV/Music), Comedian Druski (Innovator of the Year), fashion icon Bethann Hardison (Icon Award — Fashion), Grammy Award-winning producer Jermaine Dupri (Icon Award — Music), Emmy Award winning broadcaster Andrew Hawkins (Sports Award) and media trailblazer Jason Lee (Trailblazer Award).

Hosted by Xmayo, the brunch and day’s programming includes a beauty and gifting suite, a curated photo exhibition chronicling a decade of Culture Creators’ history, and the public launch of The Next 10 — Culture Creators’ forward-looking platform strategy.

The annual event will serve as a fundraiser for the Culture Creators Foundation’s HBCU+ Scholarship Fund, which provides mentorships, career access opportunities, and more for students pursuing careers in media, entertainment, technology, and culture

New details suggest that the ultraexclusive event included 1,000 guests, star-studded musical performances, big-ticket prizes, and even caviar-topped chicken nuggets. It seems the power couple went all out to celebrate their love story, so what is the final price tag on the wedding of the century?

Well, it’s hard to come to an actual estimate without concrete pictures from inside of the Garden, and no official details have been released in regards to the cost of the wedding. Lindsay Landman, a luxury event planner with more than 20 years of experience in the sector, suggests a total that lands somewhere within the range of $20 to $25 million. Estimates have not been confirmed by either Swift or Kelce. Days before their nuptials, the couple also notably donated a generous gift of $26 million across 20 charities in the U.S.

Don’t worry about Bill Ward, he’s doing just fine. The Black Sabbath drummer, 78, issued an update via social media on Thursday informing fans that if they see him out and about in a wheelchair, well, that’s just being 78. Nothing to worry about.

“I’ve reached a place where publicly more and more I need to use a wheelchair, mostly in airports, or public events,” he wrote on Instagram. “I can still walk, let there be no doubt, but I can’t walk very far without needing to rest, meaning I need to sit down.”

Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien Shares Spectral New Song ‘Abbeycwmhir’

Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien has finally released his spectral song, “Abbeycwmhir,” which was previously only available on an exclusive seven-inch vinyl. The song arrives two months after the release of O’Brien’s sophomore solo record Blue Morpho.

“Abbeycwmhir” takes its name from a village in Powys, Wales, the Welsh translating to “Abbey in the Long Valley” in English. The brooding, ambient track opens with a chorus of ghostly layered voices as O’Brien’s guitar breaks through a cloud ambient swirls and flourishes.

Watch Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood Perform ‘Ringing Hollow’ at London Event

The Rolling Stones are gearing up to release their new album Foreign Tongues, their 25th LP arriving on Friday, and ahead of its release, Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood appeared at an event in London where they previewed “Ringing Hollow” live.

In the clip the band shared on Instagram, Jagger, Wood, and keyboardist Matt Clifford perform the song acoustically in what looked to be an intimate gathering. “So this just happened in London…,” reads the caption to the clip. “Mick and Ronnie have surprised guests at a special event, with a performance of Ringing Hollow, from the new album Foreign Tongues – out this Friday!,” It’s unclear where the event took place in London or why Keith Richards is not performing in the video, but Jagger and Wood were photographed at an album launch event at St. Clement Hotel in London on Wednesday, where their performance likely took place.

Justin Bieber has been added to the star-studded lineup of performers at the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final game, for its first-ever halftime show. It takes place at New York New Jersey Stadium on July 19.

“The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can. I’m grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it’s already helping expand access to education for children around the world,” Justin Bieber said in a statement.
