Williams is taking full advantage of Paramore's 'extended break', having released one of last year's best solo efforts and teaming up with Daniel James to form new band Power Snatch.

Hayley Williams launches new band, shares debut single 'Assignment'

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has been keeping busy lately. Last year, she released Ego Death at the Bachelorette Party, one of 2025's standout albums, while also confirming that Paramore would not break up but would go on hiatus. As she readies to hit the road for a North American tour, which includes two nights in Toronto, later in the spring, the singer has teased new music with frequent collaborator Daniel James.

Premiered on Apple Music yesterday, the duo's first single as Power Snatch, titled 'Assignment', seems to have been preceded by a song called 'DMs', which was quietly uploaded to Bandcamp last year, as Kerrang notes.

'Assignment' has yet to be released on DSPs, but 'DMs' is available for streaming on Bandcamp.

J. Cole Confronts His Kendrick Lamar Apology in Surprise Freestyle

J. Cole dropped a surprise package of four freestyles in the aptly named project, Birthday Blizzard ’26, which arrived hours before the rapper turned 41. The mixtape is available on Cole’s website for just $1, although there’s an option to pay any amount.

The compilation kicks off with “Bronx Zoo Freestyle,” a track spanning just over three minutes and that sees the rapper addressing his apology heard-’round-hip-hop to Kendrick Lamar and his decision to step back from Drake and Lamar‘s ruthless rap feud.

50 Cent’s Ex-Girlfriend Claims She Signed Her Life Rights Away Out of ‘Fear’

Shaniqua Tompkins is pushing back against a lawsuit filed by G-Unit Books, alleging that she was coerced into signing away her life rights under threats, intimidation, and extreme financial pressure tied to Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and his team.

The lawsuit, brought by Jackson’s publishing company in July 2025, targets videos Tompkins posted in 2023 and 2025 in which she recounts alleged details of her past relationship with the rapper, which began before his rise to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Judge Revives Marilyn Manson Sex-Assault Lawsuit by Ex-Assistant

A California judge has revived an ex-assistant’s sexual assault lawsuit against the musician Marilyn Manson, reversing his own dismissal of the case last month after concluding that a newly enacted state law applies.

“I looked at this closely,” Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Steve Cochran said at a Monday morning hearing. “I do think the statute revives the claim. You’re [heading toward trial] all over again.”

Neil Young Trashes Amazon, Gives His Complete Musical Catalog to Greenland for Free

Back in October, Neil Young pledged to remove all of his music from Amazon. And in a recent post on the Neil Young Archives, he said he’s sticking with the plan.

Amazon is owned by Jeff Bezos, a billionaire backer of the president,” he wrote. “The president’s international policies and his support of ICE make it impossible for me to ignore his actions. If you feel as I do, I strongly recommend that you do not use Amazon. There are many ways to avoid Amazon and support individual Americans and American companies that supply the same products. I have done that with my music and people who are looking can find it in a lot of other places.”
