In the lead-up to the announcement of his fourth album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, Harry Styles left cryptic messages scattered across the world. One in particular read, “Let the light in.” As it turns out, the note was a nod to the first single from the album, “Aperture.” The song will be released worldwide at 7 p.m. EST on Jan. 22 ahead of the album’s March 6 arrival.

Aperture, of course, controls how much light passes through a camera. Last week’s album announcement arrived with a new slate of merch, including a limited-edition box set containing a reloadable 35mm film camera. Styles also shared an Instagram Story post featuring an animation of the single title opening and closing, letting light in and shutting it out. The accompanying grid post captures Styles grinning in the studio.

Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally marks the first LP release from Styles since Harry’s House arrived in 2022. The 12-track album reunites the musician with his long-time collaborator, Kid Harpoon. In 2022, Harpoon told Rolling Stone he was looking forward to following up the Grammy Award-winning record, which took home Album of the Year in 2023.

“What I hope for going forward with Harry is that whatever it is next, let’s not try and second-guess it, or do anything based on what we’ve done before,” he said. “Let’s just try and do something new and land somewhere exciting. And hopefully everyone’s as excited to hear it as we are to kind of hear it as well. You know, I feel like we don’t know what it is yet. That could be anything, which is the most exciting thing about it.”

With more than 1,300 days having passed since he last released new music, Styles is ready to step into the light once again.

Katy Perry joins Trudeau and Carney in Davos

After visiting China and Qatar in recent days for new trade agreement negotiations, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is currently in Davos, in the Swiss Alps, where the World Economic Forum is being held.

Earlier today, his predecessor Justin Trudeau delivered a speech in which he emphasized the importance of “soft power,” more crucial than ever in a tense climate, as all eyes are fixed on President Trump, who continually threatens international geopolitical stability. However, he carefully avoided mentioning Trump directly and did not comment on his successor’s mandate to date.

Billie Eilish Condemns Civil Rights Violations, ICE-Inflicted Violence Under Trump Administration

At 24, Billie Eilish has spent most of her career being honored for her sustainability efforts and positioned as a voice for her generation. While accepting the MLK Jr. Beloved Community Award for Environmental Justice presented by the King Center on Saturday, Jan. 17, the musician flipped the spotlight on the people and organizations that are perpetuating the very conditions she is constantly standing against — namely, Donald Trump and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency that his administration has militarized.

“It’s very strange to be celebrated for working towards environmental justice at a time where it feels less achievable than ever given the state of our country and the world right now,” Eilish said in the speech she prepared ahead of the ceremony in Atlanta. “We’re seeing our neighbors being kidnapped, peaceful protesters being assaulted and murdered, our civil rights being stripped, resources to fight the climate crisis being cut for fossil fuels and animal agriculture destroying our planet, and people’s access to food and healthcare becoming a privilege for the wealthy instead of a new basic human right for all Americans.”

PUP and Jimmy Eat World to take over RBC Amphitheater in August

As seemingly everyone in the world is caught up in the trend of sharing their selfies from 2016, Toronto pop-punk legends PUP are gearing up for the celebration of their 2016 classic The Dream is Over.
