Céline Dion is making her official comeback. On Monday, the singer announced a series of shows in Paris this fall, marking her first headlining concerts since 2020.

The news arrives days after posters began popping up in Paris, igniting rumors of her return. She made the announcement in a video on Monday, her 58th birthday. “In my career, I’ve recorded a lot of birthday messages,” she said. “But this is the first time I’ve ever recorded one for my own birthday. And wow, it’s been hard keeping it a secret from myself! But I want to let you know that I’m doing great. I’m managing my health, I’m feeling good, I’m singing again, even doing a little bit of dancing, obviously.”

She went on to thank her fans for their support while she’s been battling stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological condition she was diagnosed with in 2022 (the Amazon Prime documentary I Am: Celine Dion captures her struggle). “Over these last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support, your kindness and love,” she said. “You’ve helped me in ways that I can’t even describe, and I’m truly fortunate to have your support.”

She added: “This year, I’m getting the best birthday gift of my life…I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris, beginning in September! I’m feeling good, I’m strong, I’m feeling excited, obviously a little nervous, but most of all, I’m grateful to all of YOU! I love you all and I’ll see you soon!”

The 2026 shows will take place at Paris La Défense Arena on Wednesdays and Saturdays, beginning Sept. 12 and concluding on Oct. 14. Though the residency will mark her first headlining shows in six years, Dion performed Édith Piaf’s “Hymne à L’amour” (“The Hymn to Love”) at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. That fall, she performed “The Power of Love” and “I’m Alive” at the 1001 Seasons of Elie Saab fashion show in Saudi Arabia.

Tickets for her Paris run go on sale Friday, April 10.

Joni Mitchell was honored with the lifetime achievement award at the 2026 Juno Awards last night. During the ceremony, held at the TD Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Mitchell made a rare public appearance to accept the award and to join Sarah McLachlan and Allison Russell as they performed a medley of her songs.

McLachlan opened the performance with Mitchell’s 1971 song “A Case of You. Russell joined for a duet of “Both Sides Now.” The singers welcomed Mitchell to the stage for a rousing rendition of “Big Yellow Taxi,” which also included many of the other musicians present.

Are Bots Taking Over Music?

The chatter around streaming bots grew noticeably louder in August 2025, when a prison phone call between Young Thug and an unidentified associate leaked online. During the conversation, the Young Stoner Life Records founder claimed he’d spent $50,000 to boost streams for his artist Gunna’s January 2022 album, DS4Ever, to ensure it would debut atop the Billboard 200 chart. Sure enough, the project landed at Number One with more than 150,000 album-equivalent units moved in its opening week, besting the Weeknd’s Dawn FM by a modest 2,300 units.

“I spent 50 extra grand buying motherfucking streams for you — $50,000,” Young Thug said on the call. “You didn’t honestly earn a Number One album over the Weeknd, my boy. I paid for that shit.”

According to Billboard’s recap of the album’s inaugural week, DS4Ever benefited from a Drake collaboration (“P Power”) and extremely discounted iTunes pricing. Luminate, the company that provides streaming data to Billboard, verified the numbers at the time and did not report any suspicious activity.

Drake’s Label Fires Back at Rapper in Appeals Court: ‘Astoundingly Hypocritical’

Universal Music Group is firing back at Drake again, arguing in a new appellate brief that the rapper’s attempt to revive his failed defamation lawsuit over Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” is illogical and “astoundingly hypocritical.”

In its new 83-page filing obtained by Rolling Stone, UMG says the Canadian rapper born Aubrey Drake Graham is making arguments so flawed and “nonsensical” that he’s attempting to “turn the law upside down.” The new brief, filed in the Second Circuit, argues U.S. District Judge Jeannette A. Vargas ruled correctly last October when she concluded that Lamar’s lyrics calling Drake a pedophile were “nonactionable opinion,” meaning not statements of fact.

Watch Rush Play Live With New Drummer Anika Nilles for the First Time

Rush‘s Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson teased something special for tonight’s Juno Awards — and they came through in a big way by opening the show with a live performance featuring their new drummer, Anika Nilles, for the first time. They chose “Finding My Way,” the first track on their very first album, 1974’s Rush, which featured John Rutsey on drums in the studio, rather than the late Neil Peart, who didn’t join the band until afterward.
