It very much looks like A$AP Rocky is back in full force.

It has been nearly eight years since the New York rapper last released a new album. In the meantime, he has become the father of three children with his partner, Rihanna, who herself has not shared any new music in over a decade.


But if everything goes according to plan, his new album Don’t Be Dumb is set to be released this Friday. After unveiling the single Punk Rocky last week, along with a music video starring Winona Ryder, Rocky now shares Helicopter, which is expected to be the final release ahead of the full album.

Don’t Be Dumb was first announced by A$AP Rocky in 2024, but its release has been postponed several times since. That may ultimately be a good thing, as it gave renowned filmmaker Tim Burton time to create the album’s cover art. Featuring a sound much more characteristic of the rapper than Punk Rocky, the new single is accompanied by a video directed by Dan Streit, with visuals that recall early-2000s video games.

Sombr Steps Into the Wild, Wild West in New ‘Homewrecker’ Video

Only a few months have passed since Sombr released I Barely Know Her, and judging from his new single, “Homewrecker,” he now knows her. “I don’t wanna talk down on your lover,” he sings on the upbeat pop song. “I don’t wanna be a homewrecker/I just know I can be better, be better, be better.” All this as he and she “contemplate just one more round of love before you go home to another one.” Talk about moving fast, but it all sounds playful.

Meanwhile, nobody has chemistry with the movie’s volatile director, played by Milo Manheim, an actor who has starred in Disney’s Zombies movie, who constantly needles everyone until it leads to a set-wide showdown. Gus Black, who has helmed clips for Phoebe Bridgers and Laufey, directed the clip.

R&B singer Chris Brown is facing allegations he cut a songwriter out of credit and compensation on his two songs “Monalisa” and “Sensational.”

In a new lawsuit filed Wednesday in Manhattan federal court, Steve Chokpelle claims he was at Brown’s Los Angeles home with Sean Kingston in 2020 when Brown asked him to compose lyrics for “Monalisa,” a track purportedly released on June 4, 2021. Though the lawsuit doesn’t mention it, a 2022 “Monalisa” remix from Nigerian musicians Lojay and Sarz that also featured Brown eventually peaked at Number Eight on Billboard’s U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.

In a new promo spot on NBC, Tate McRae is skiing on a mountain when she happens upon an owl. After introducing herself to the owl and the camera, for some reason, she explains she's 'Nobody's Girl', who simply wants to ''get to Milan for an amazing opening ceremony'', before extolling the qualities of American athletes.

While this normally would have gone unnoticed, fans were quick to ask why McRae was featured in this ad. She is, after all, Canadian, though she now resides in the USA. Furthermore, amid a strained relationship between Canada and the USA, fans from both countries found it a bit gauche on McRae's part.
