The countdown is on for scene kids, young and old, across North America: the Warped Tour is finally back. After operating in a limited capacity in select cities, Kevin Lyman’s festival returns to Montréal after nearly 15 years away.
Today, the Warped Tour is beginning to announce its lineup, revealing one band at a time, daily. For the first name, the festival is making a big splash with Jimmy Eat World as headliners. Veterans of the genre and of Warped Tour, the legendary emo band from Arizona is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Bleed American, their first commercial hit.
A few weeks ago, the band also announced a co-headlining show in Toronto with PUP, who are themselves celebrating a decade of The Dream Is Over.
The rest of the Warped Tour lineup will be revealed over the next thirty days on the festival’s Instagram page. The Montréal edition will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau on August 21 and 22.
