A new album from Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, is set to arrive on March 20. The rapper has inked a partnership deal with the independent music company Gamma for the release of Bully, his 12th studio album.

Ye began recording Bully more than three years ago, even going so far as to release an accompanying short film edited by Hype Williams and starring his son, Saint West, in March 2025. The timeline for the version of the album arriving in March is unclear, but Rolling Stone has confirmed that Bully was completed before the publication of Ye’s recent ad in the Wall Street Journal.

In the ad, which took the form of a page-long open letter, Ye apologized for his many years of antisemitic and other controversial comments, grappled with his bipolar disorder diagnosis, addressed selling swastika merch, and reflected on letting the Black community down. (The letter did not directly address any of the legal claims he’s currently facing, including a sexual harassment, assault, and wrongful termination lawsuit that was brought by his former assistant in 2024. Through a spokesperson, West previously denied the accusations.) “I’m not asking for sympathy, or a free pass, though I aspire to earn your forgiveness,” the letter read. “I write today simply to ask for your patience and understanding as I find my way home.”

A press release states that Bully will capture Ye in these moments as he wrestles with “remorse, memory, ego, faith, and consequence.” The release also claims that while the album is meant to be a documentation of his internal experience during this time, it does not double or function as an apology or redemptive effort. With Bully, Ye is said to be “using music as storytelling rather than defense.”

His previous solo full-length release, Donda 2, was released in 2022 via the audio remix device Stem Player, then in an edited form in 2025 via Ye’s brand YZY. Yeezy also paid for the WSJ ad space.

In a review of the initially released version of Bully, Rolling Stone noted that, according to Ye, half of the vocals on the album were A.I., but added that there were clear moments that showed glimmers of his past. “On ‘Bully,’ Ye sounds like he did on 808’s and Heartbreak, where he used Auto-Tune to build a whining crescendo — a dramatic effect for a man at his limit emotionally,” the review read, adding, “Bully had some juice — more life than any of his post-The Life of Pablo work.”

Billy Ray Cyrus has a lot to celebrate with his new album, The Hill, arriving on June 16, but he had other hills to conquer, including a health crisis, before reaching this point. In a new interview, he revealed that he suffered a near-fatal experience with sepsis in 2024. He noted how the health crisis led to a subsequent diagnosis of temporary vocal paralysis.

In his interview with People, Cyrus didn’t disclose too many details about the health scare, but said he was diagnosed with the condition back in 2024 and consequently faced vocal paralysis, describing the bout as a “very broken moment of my life.” He called his bounce-back a “miracle” crediting his grandson Bear (the 5-year-old son of Braison Cyrus) for helping him see the light in a dark time.

The Menzingers Are Done Living in the Past

The Menzingers were getting fired up over a couple of beers, talking about their new album when the topic of where to record came up. There were legendary studios and cities, like Los Angeles, that they had never worked in. Then they had one idea: What if they recorded right in South Philly, the neighborhood they’ve lived in for 20 years? Sure, they’ve made albums in Philadelphia before, at studios in Fishtown and nearby suburb Conshohocken, but for their ninth studio LP, Everything I Ever Saw, they kept everything right in their backyard at producer Will Yip’s newly built studio.

‘Billboard’ Charts Definitively Prove Everybody Loves Paul McCartney

Paul McCartney‘s latest solo album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, has landed here, there, and everywhere on Billboard‘s latest chart returns, mostly at Number One. While the LP, which contains the singles “Days We Left Behind” and “Home to Us,” bowed at Number Five on the Billboard 200, which tabulates an album’s popularity with a combination of sales and “album-equivalent” streaming units, the trade mag reports that it landed at Number One on its Top Album Sales, Vinyl Albums, and Indie Store Album Sales charts.

McCartney managed this week’s feat by earning 63,000 album equivalent units in the U.S. for the week ending June 4, Billboard reports. The album’s sales, meanwhile, reached 59,500, of which 32,000 were vinyl records.

Sharon Osbourne Says AI Ozzy Is Not a Cash Grab: ‘I Don’t Need Your F—ing Money’

Sharon Osbourne responded to criticism that the development of an AI version of Ozzy Osbourne is about the money. Speaking on the latest episode of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon addressed claims that the family is taking advantage of new technology as a “cash grab.”

On the episode, Sharon and Jack Osbourne described the AI avatar of Ozzy as a technological advancement, noting that if they don’t do it someone else will. Jack added that it’s a “closed AI module” that is not connected to the Internet. “Someone said, ‘It’s dangerous, you can’t control,'” he recounted. “And I was like, ‘What the fuck do you think this? Terminator?’ You think this is going to go sentient and the next thing you know Ozzy is going to launch the nukes?”
