Jimmy Kimmel took aim at Donald Trump‘s disastrous decision to paint the Washington, D.C. reflecting pool a shade of “American flag blue.”

“Trump spent reportedly $14 million updating the reflecting pool on the National Mall,” Kimmel explained. “He set out to resurface and repaint it because he didn’t like the way it looked. He wanted to paint it American flag blue. That was the color. So, the project was completed last week. And now, not even a week later, it’s already completely green.”

He continued, “It’s Mexican flag green. That’s what the White House calls residual algae. They’ve got workers out there. They’ve been dumping gallons of hydrogen peroxide in there, which is also how he colors his hair, by the way.”

Kimmel explained that apparently the dark blue color has caused the water to retain more heat, resulting in the green growth. “He promised he would drain the swamp,” Kimmel said. “Instead, he spent 14 million of our dollars building a new one. His next step is to move St. Patrick’s Day to July and claim it’s green on purpose.”

The host added, “He owns hotels. If there was one thing he could do, you would think it was keep a pool clean. He can’t even get that right.”

Fox News, of course, has been trying to put a positive spin on the situation. Kimmel aired a clip of a reporter suggesting that “no other president” would clean up the reflecting pool. “That’s right,” Kimmel responded. “No one. Sorry. Abraham Lincoln wouldn’t have done that. He couldn’t have done it. He didn’t have the courage to do it.”

Kimmel then shared a clip of a Real America’s Voice News reporter claiming that the algae was the result of something nefarious. “My God, the algae is working with Antifa,” Kimmel responded. “You’ve cracked the case.”

He added, “Of all the many dumb and crazy problems that Donald Trump has created never did I imagine that one of them would be algae.”

Justin Baldoni to Pay Blake Lively’s Legal Fees in Final ‘It Ends With Us’ Ruling

A judge has ordered Justin Baldoni to pay Blake Lively‘s legal fees, though she is not entitled to extra damages related to the dismissal of his $400 million defamation suit against his former It Ends With Us co-star.

The dispute over damages and fees emerged alongside news that Lively and Baldoni had settled their contentious legal battle in early May, just before the case was set to go to trial. While the primary suit was settled with no monetary compensation for either side, Lively’s lawyers preserved their motion to pursue damages and fees related to the dismissal of Baldoni’s suit. They did so under California’s Weaponized Defamation Lawsuits Act, which was designed to protect accusers by imposing mandatory penalties against plaintiffs who filed unsuccessful defamation suits in response to misconduct complaints.

Frankie Grande Says Celine Dion ‘Peed’ Herself After Ariana’s TV Impression

It’s no secret Ariana Grande is very good at impressions. She has famously impersonated numerous fellow singers, including Britney Spears and Celine Dion, during appearances on shows like Saturday Night Live and The Tonight Show. Her impression of Dion is so good, in fact, that the pop diva apparently laughed so hard at it that she “peed.”

Ariana’s brother Frankie Grande stopped by The Tonight Show last night to discuss his Broadway career and the Tonys, but also recounted meeting Dion right after his sister had mimicked her singing on The Tonight Show.

They could be the “Anal O.G. Dogs” or they could be the “Analog Dogs,” but either way doesn’t matter since these teens got the improbable opportunity to open for Green Day on New Year’s Eve based on a demo tape. That’s the gist of the trailer for Nimrods: A Green Day Comedy, a road-trip movie in which not everything goes smoothly. It opens Aug. 14. Filmmaker Lee Kirk, who wrote and directed the picture, based the story on Green Day’s salad days when they toured in a van before Dookie made them world famous.

“It’s about the experience that Green Day had on the road in the early days of more of a DIY spirit,” Armstrong told The Hollywood Reporter last September when the film premiered with the title New Years Rev at the Tribeca Film Festival. “We played anywhere and everywhere, and a lot of shows would get shut down because the cops would come. But there’s also the mud fight that happened at Woodstock. Lee did a great job of incorporating all of those elements that we’ve had in the past.”

The floodgates are about to open on Mark Zuckerberg in the first trailer for Aaron Sorkin‘s The Social Reckoning. “These guys are counting on the next round of congressional testimony to make you likable, Mark,” a character named Charlie (Bill Burr) tells the Facebook founder, portrayed by a particularly chilling Jeremy Strong. “I’m happy to lend a hand, but I think you’re doomed.”
