After seven years of silence, Sunn O))) are firing up the amps and hitting the road once again. The emblematic drone metal duo are set to launch a North American tour this spring for a long-awaited run that will include stops in Canada.

Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson are also announcing Sunn O))), their first album since Life Metal and Pyroclasts, released in 2019. Due out April 3 via Sub Pop, the record marks their arrival on the storied Seattle label. Today, they share Glory Black, the album’s closing track, which continues the group’s musical explorations: immersive, almost ceremonial, and fully aligned with Sunn O)))’s aesthetic.

Those who have seen the band live can attest that Sunn O)))’s concerts remain an experience unto themselves. They function less as traditional performances than as rituals where volume, resonance, and acoustics are bended in ways you wouldn't think imaginable.

The band will perform in Montréal on April 13 at Le National, before heading to Toronto the following night for a show at 131 McCormack. Tickets go on sale this Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

D4vd Named as ‘Target’ of Grand Jury Murder Investigation Into Body Found in His Tesla

Singer D4vd, born David Anthony Burke, has been formally identified as the “target” of a grand jury investigation into the alleged homicide of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez, according to recently unsealed court documents obtained by Rolling Stone.

Petitions included as exhibits in a 151-page filing by lawyers representing D4vd’s parents and brother state that the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office identified the singer as the target of its grand jury inquiry. The documents, filed in Texas without the sealing protections applied in California, sought grand jury testimony from D4vd’s father, Dawud Burke, his mother, Colleen Burke, and his brother, Caleb Burke, starting on Feb. 11. The documents described D4vd as someone who “may be involved in having committed” a crime listed as “one count of murder.”
