Sean Combs has been transferred to a low-security prison facility in Pennsylvania after he was reportedly caught with a contraband cellphone and suffered a head injury while placed in solitary confinement.

A spokesperson for the Bureau of Prisons confirmed the move to Rolling Stone on Friday, saying: “We can confirm that Sean Combs is currently incarcerated at FCI Allenwood Low. For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not discuss the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, including reasons for transfer.”

Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, tells Rolling Stone his family had not yet “received official confirmation of any transfer and are not in a position to speculate on Sean’s placement or the reasons behind any potential move.

“His family and legal team remain focused on his well-being and ensuring he can maintain regular contact with those closest to him,” Engelmayer adds.

The 56-year-old had been serving his 50-month sentence at Fort Dix, a low-security federal facility in New Jersey after he was convicted last summer on charges of transportation to engage in prostitution. His high-powered legal team had advocated for Combs to be sent to Fort Dix due to its rehabilitation drug program that could reduce an inmate’s sentence by a year.

But last month, NBC News ran a report that detailed how Combs was enjoying a relatively pampered prison stay. The one-time billionaire reportedly directed thousands of dollars to fellow inmates in exchange for favors, including cooking him gourmet meals and scrubbing showers and toilets before he used them.

Beyond basic “pampering,” Combs allegedly managed to secure contraband, including Hennessy liquor, mood-boosting antidepressant pills, an unlocked tablet, and a cellphone that he used to scroll on Instagram and view nude photos from an ex-girlfriend.

Rolling Stone reviewed the Instagram account believed to belong to Combs, which was among the 365 accounts his publicist followed. The anonymous profile follows Combs’ children, longtime family friends who are not public figures, and women romantically linked to Combs. The account reposted videos about Combs’ former girlfriend Yung Miami, 50 Cent, and former Bad Boy artist Mase.

Following NBC’s report, Combs had his release date pushed back to March 2028 and was reportedly placed in solitary confinement. And this week, reports emerged that Combs suffered a non-life-threatening head injury over the weekend and was treated at a nearby hospital.

The Bureau of Prisons denied circulating reports that Combs had gotten into a fight with a prominent drug kingpin. “While, for privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for any individual in our custody, we can tell you that the story you are referring to is false and did not happen,” a spokesperson said.

Grammy Family Feuds: Six Times Relatives Competed for the Same Award

It’s notoriously difficult to predict how the fine people at the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences will assess the past year when Grammy nominations are revealed on Nov. 16., considering voters’ rocky history — remember when Bonnie Raitt’s supremely under-the-radar “Just Like That” won Song of the Year in 2023 over Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul” and Taylor Swift’s 10-minute “All Too Well”? But there’s a strong scenario that we’ll see something historic in the Best New Artist category this year if pop songwriter Audrey Hobert and R&B singer Malcolm Todd are both nominated.

They’re signed to different labels and have pretty different fan bases, but they are brother and sister. And if they’re nominated, it would be the first time in Grammy history that two siblings have faced off against each other in that category.

Justice Recruit Tame Impala, SZA for ‘GTA 6’ Song ‘Flower in a Hurricane’

Justice team up with Tame Impala, SZA, and King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard for the Grand Theft Auto VI track “Flower in a Hurricane,” the first offering from the French duo’s score for the much-anticipated video game.

The three guests switch off vocals on the track, which sounds like a modern take on a song gamers might have heard on the soundtrack for the Eighties-based Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the setting that GTAVI revisits albeit in a present day. The song also reunites Justice with Tame Impala, who was a contributor to the duo’s album Hyperdrama.

Shop Owner Says Kelly Clarkson ‘Used Her Fame to Try to Destroy Our Business’

Three days after Kelly Clarkson started a public feud with the Brooklyn game shop Art of Play, the story is still ricocheting around the internet, with supporters on both sides weighing in on social media. But inside the tiny shop at the western end of Atlantic Avenue, just steps from an on-ramp for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway, things are placid and drama-free.

As the door swings closed on a sunny Tuesday afternoon, muffling the sounds of traffic, the nook of curiosities comes alive. The theme pretty much boils down to: stuff that makes people stop and go, “Oooohhh!”
