It's an eventful week for Miley, as the popstar is now known. After losing her godmother, Dolly Parton, last week, the artist is now announcing the start of a new era.
Notably, she has dropped the surname Cyrus from her artist name. Though no formal announcement was made regarding the name change, many fans pointed over the past few days that 'Cyrus' was disappearing from her handles on social media. A press release from Warner also refers to Miley mononymously.
Along with the news of the name change, Miley is announcing that her tenth studio album, Bass Persuades, will come out on September 18. ''Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me,'' she shared on Instagram.
She will also return to the stage, taking over the famous Hollywood Bowl, on October 16 and 18, with Model/Actriz on opening duty,.
