Doechii and Lady Gaga released “Runway” on Thursday, their collaboration track from The Devil Wears Prada 2. The song arrives ahead of the film’s debut on May 1.

“You gonna burn your tongue on this tea,” warns Gaga on the track, before Doechii declares, “Got the front row screaming, ‘Okay, okay’/ Do a little twirl/Let ’em know I’m that girl.” In theme with the fashion-forward film, the song repeats: “Monday through Sunday, I can turn the dancefloor into a runway.”

Written by Bruno Mars, Jaylah Hickmon, Gaga, Andrew Watt, Henry Walter, Dernst “D’Mile” Emile II, and Jayda Love, the single was produced by Mars, Andrew Watt, Cirkut, and D’Mile. Gaga and Mars previously collaborated on their Grammy-winning song “Die With a Smile.”

The pair teased the track earlier this week in the film’s final trailer. The highly anticipated movie reunites the original cast, including Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, and more. It also features appearances from Simone Ashley, Caleb Hearon, Donatella Versace, and other stars. Back in October, Gaga was spotted on set in Milan a day after Donatella Versace was seen.

Both Gaga and Doechii have praised each other in the press prior to their song dropping. “You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary,” Gaga told British Vogue last year. “That’s Doechii to me. I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective.”

Doechii shared her reaction to the pop icon’s words during an interview with People. “I audibly gasped, literally. I’m the biggest Lady Gaga fan, and she is so dedicated to her creativity and pushing the limits, so for a legend like that to say that about me, it really, really validated me in a humbling way,” said Doechii.

Inside ‘Off Campus,’ the Latest Hockey-Romance TV Hit

In hockey, the best advice is to leave everything on the ice. But in the world of hockey romance, the focus is on what happens after the players’ skates — among other things — come off. It’s a winning formula that has just spawned another TV sensation.

Released May 13, Off Campus is Prime Video’s entry into the explosively popular genre. Based on the 2015 book The Deal, by romance author Elle Kennedy, the series follows a group of college hockey stars at the fictional Briar University and the women they fall in love with. Off Campus uses the messy lives of these athletes to explore romance tropes like fake-dating plots, enemies-to-lovers twists, secret relationships, and more. The series also taps into the current craze of new-adult stories — that is, focused on characters in that stage of life between teen and full-fledged adulthood — many specifically set in the pressure-cooker environment that college and university settings naturally supply to make romance spark. And following the success of the steamy HBO Max hit Heated Rivalry, Off Campus is a high-budget argument from Prime Video and creator Louisa Levy that hockey romance isn’t a phase — it’s a genre with plenty to say.

John McClain, Co-Executor of Michael Jackson Estate, Dead at 71

John McClain, a co-executor of Michael Jackson‘s estate, died in Los Angeles on Tuesday. He was 71. Diana Baron, a representative of the estate, confirmed McClain’s death. The cause was complications from a fall.

After an illustrious career behind the scenes of the music industry, McClain became close to the Jackson family in the early Eighties, setting up Janet for superstardom. Michael Jackson named McClain as his estate executors, alongside lawyer John Branca, in his will. McClain was instrumental in guiding Jackson’s posthumous resurgence, including the release of two albums of archival material, two Cirque du Soleil shows, the Broadway hit MJ: The Musical, various films and documentaries, and the recently released hit movie, Michael. Forbes has reported that Jackson’s estate has earned more than $3 billion since the singer’s 2009 death.

Ball State University Employee Fired for Criticizing Charlie Kirk Receives $225,000 in Settlement

Suzanne Swierc, the former director of Health Promotion and Advocacy at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, has been awarded $225,000 in a settlement connected to her firing over social media remarks about Charlie Kirk following the right-wing figure’s assassination.

“Suzanne was speaking as a private citizen on a matter of public concern when Ball State fired her over a private social media post,” said Stevie Pactor, senior staff attorney at the ACLU of Indiana. “The First Amendment does not allow government institutions to retaliate in those circumstances, and this settlement reflects that.”
